Well he's not dead yet, but Tony Bennett will belong in that category, plus Glenn Miller (who is dead, or so rumor has it), and of course , The One, The Only, Groucho.

I would have to go with all of the above except Elvis as there were two of him, I'd also include everyone else.

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

Nobody's mentioned Doug Henning yet.
Doug was the first person to "dust magic off" dress it up in more modern clothing and show that it could be "fun" again. All the David Blaines and David Copperfields and Lance Burtons our there as well are extremly talented, but Doug came in to a cold environment and reminded us what magic could be. There's never going to be another Doug Henning.

Lloyd Bridges and Robert Stack. Not only did they have great action/adventure shows (Sea Hunt & The Untouchables respectively), buy they both showed their funny side in the movie Airplane.

Mario Lanza. How many opera singers could become Hollywood's #1 star/box office attraction?
Of course, there aren't too many people who could destroy their bodies the way he could. Dead at 38.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

The greatest entertainer of all time was AL JOLSON. The greatest genius of the movies was CHARLIE CHAPLIN. If you haven't seen them in action please do yourself a favor and you may agree with me.
