Lets see who can answer this first. Can you tell me who this beautiful young woman is? I'll only tell you that she was an actress who played the role of a famous mother on a television show. The show is still on televison in syndication reruns today around the world. that's the only clue you get. Betcha don't know! It'll surprise you when you learn who it is.

Best,

Tim

I'm gonna guess Yvonne Decarlo aka Lilly Munster. Do I get a cigar?

My guess is Lucille Ball when she was a dancer.

I second Doug. The late Yvonne Decarlo.

It is either Barbara Walters, or Ireen Ryan Granny from "the Beverly Hillbillies".

Never again will I doubt the wisdom of such great minds that meet here at the Magic Café. It is indeed Yvonne Decarlo who passed away a few weeks ago. Kudos to all.

I remember being shocked when Yvonne de Carlo took the role of Lily Munster. I knew her as a beautiful and glamorous movie star, and was totally surprised that she'd take a role in a schlocky TV sitcom.

That's probably right. It was a different time back then. She probably made as much money in that two year run with the Munsters as she made in all her movie roles combined.

She was beautiful in the "Ten Commandments" as well.

I became familiar with her in the opposite way. I knew her from the montsters and then started to recognise her in the movies she made before the Munsters. I was quite surprised to see how beautiful she really was.

Me too, I've seen those pics before and knew she was quite a looker. But I'm sure my first awareness of her came from the Munsters in reruns.

One of the few actresses that could hold her own against Maureen O'Hara.

Towards the end, though, she was a victim of the notorious "Shatner bloat."
