- a double lift has nothing to do with 2 persons in an elevator
- a TT is not an item you keep after an accident
- a sidesteal is nothing to be done casually
- a top change is not about swapping positions in bed
- "out to lunch" doesn't mean that the magician is unavailable
- a memo-deck is not sent around for info or pinned to a wall
- rough-and-smooth has nothing to do with shaving
- neither does a false cut
- sponge balls is not a disease
- substitution trunks are not offered by your car repair shop
- multiplying golf balls must not be related to drinking on the fairway
- you won't get a Charlier cut at your hairdresser
- coin shells are not available at Shell gas shops
- the Hindu thread is originally not a post in the Café
- a card mechanic can't repair your gimmicked packet tricks

think about this.

A thread reel is not something you attach to your fishing pole
a TT is not a part of your girlfriend's anatomy
the overhand shuffle is not a dance move

This thread should be in the "What a boring thread" Thing..... Is that funny, or just Ironic? Iconic? Can anyone in this post motel read?

Consider it thought upon.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

So why did you write a comment?
Everyone would have forgotten about it.
But, no...!

Hey Josh, how about:

"Dai Vernon" and "Shoot Ogawa" are not sequels to "Kill Bill"

How about this: Downs palm, is not a genetic disorder of the hands....
Chop Cups don't do well with dicing vegetables.
When someone mentions a pass, you don't have to move to fresher air.
Palming often, doesn't necessarily make you go blind

Nor is it a kick boxing or wrestling move.

There is nothing risque about a stripper deck!

There was once a parent and her son (probably about 8 years old) that came up to me after my show and thanked me. The boy was interested in magic and he wanted to know some suggestions for reading or websites or anything of the sort. I of course suggested Mark Wilson's and some books from the library. The boy spoke up and said that his dad gave him a special deck of cards for his birthday (and perfectly described a stripper deck, and how to use it).

He asked me if I had ever heard of it, and I said "Yep, there are a lot of great magicians that use those special decks. Do you know what that deck is called?" He obviously said something along the lines of "a MAGIC deck???". And without thinking, I said "No, it's called a stripper deck".

The mother dropped the bottle of soda she was holding and stepped in closer with that protective-mother face. The kid, now feeling very "in the know" exclaimed "Cool!". I realized what I had said and apologized to her, but reassured her that it's the actual technical term for that type of deck, but it's also refered to as a Tapered Deck. And she was like "I think were going to use THAT name instead of the other name."

Sorry to swing a little bit off topic, but that quote just made that memory come back and smack me in the face, along with some other "Shoulda-Shut-Up" lines.
