Well, I'm happy for the Colts. They finally made it. Wish they were playing the Saints, though. That would have made for a nice Super Bowl story.

Many will remember in January 1993, the Bills came back from a 35-3 deficit in the 3rd quarter to win the game in overtime 41-38. I missed the whole thing because I quit watching until near the end of the 4th quarter. For those that haven't seen it, you can at least read about it here: http://www.buffalobills.com/history/TheComeback.jsp Now, back to our discussions of which Monday it is and what exactly is this "Super Bowl"... -B |

I remember that one well Brandon. I think they had to put Warren Moon on suicide watch for a month after that one.

It wouldn't surprise me, Vandy! I couldn't believe it. I'm sure Moon was on the sidelines wondering just how that game got away from them so quickly, shaking his head in disbelief...

I think E-man meant the largest comeback in an AFC Championship game. That Buffalo game was amazing but it was a wild-card game.
The QB in that game, Frank Reich, also held the record for the biggest comeback in College football leading Maryland over the U of Miami. It was something like 34-0 at half. That record was just broken last year. |

Yo, L-Moon what's up? So they finally named Tomlin, that was crazy, everyday I was hearing another guy was named Head Coach. I was kind of pulling for Russ Grimm.

Yeah Vandy...Tomlin came out of nowhere. At first I thought they hired the Red Sox reliever, Mike Timlin. Then Mike Tomzcak flashed in my mind and I screamed NOOOOOOOOOO!
I like Russ Grimm but I thought Wisenhunt would get it. I don't think Rothlisberger and Wisenhunt saw eye to eye this year and that might of had something to do with the Steelers not hiring him and Wisenhunt going to Arizona. As a Pack fan, do you want Favre to retire or would you like him to come back next year? |

They have to beef up that offensive line and give the old man time to throw.
Favre tends to put the ball up when being rushed and under pressure. Although retiring when you trounced the Bears in your last game can't be all bad, not Elway-ish, but still okay. As far as the Super Bowl goes....I want the Colts but I'm watching the line to see if I might take action on the game. Whats up with Belichek? First he throws a photographer out of the way to get to Mangini, then his players get into that row with Tomlinson and Sunday he looked as if he snubbed Manning coming off the field. |

But THAT Bears team? No way. What's the line right now, Colts by 7? Belichick showed once again that he has no class. He needs to get over himself. I'm sick of him and his bogus injury reports and his stupid sons and his stupid sweatshirts. He stands at midfield waiting to get his props when he wins, then runs away like a little baby when he loses. F' him.

Yes..as of yesterday it was still at 7.
Over/Under around 48 or 49 which is pretty high considering the kudos given to the Bears defense. I agree about Belichick. A great coach, but a hard man to root for. |

I'm still not sold on them, I think Grossman is a bum. I know they scored a bunch of points against the Saints, but I'm still not a believer. And I don't think they are going to be able to win if they keep the training wheels on Grossman and just run between the tackles like they did Sunday. It's not going to be snowing in Miami and the field will be in better shape than the bush league junkass turf that the had at Soldier Field. I don't understand how an orginization that knew for weeks that it was going to have home field throughout, could have a field in the condition that it was for their two games. BUSH LEAGUE!! LOL! I just realized I'm going to a bar in Chicago next Friday or Saturday night. Blech! They are going to be doing the Superbowl shuffle all over the place.

You would have to assume that the Bears wanted Soldier Field in that condition to slow down the timing of Drew Brees and company.
I would have to think that Dungy is going to try and force the game into Grossman's hands. that's what I would do. Dwight Freeney is an animal. The more I watch him, the more impressed I am of his speed and explosiveness. Grossman better watch out. The Colts "D" has one more game to stop the run. Do they have it in them? By the end of the night, in that Chicago bar, you'll be singing the Bear's fight song. LOL |

You definately have to force Grossman to beat you, put 10 in the box if you have to. And blitz the hell out of him. I don't think the guy would recognize a blitz if it fell out of the sky, landed on his face, and started wiggling around. If he beats the Colts, God Bless him. But I don't think he can if the run isn't working. I WILL NOT be singing "Bear Down Chicago Bears", even if it's the only way to get out of that joint alive.

You're too much ! This must be killing you.
If the Bears win the superbowl, we're going to have to give you an intervention. Try not to get into any bar fights either, The last place you want to be is in a Chicago holding cell wearing Packer gear. |

But I can't stand any of the current Bears. Including U-slacker. I can't imagine getting into any fights, I'm too old for that stuff anymore. I won't even be drinking. I'm just shooting down there, to see a magician actually, and coming right back up. Worst thing that could happen is I damage my vision by rolling my eyes too many times at all the Bears bandwagon jumpers.

Here it is; time to go on record.
I'm taking the Colts. I'm making one bet taking the Colts (giving 6.5 points). I also have two other small wagers taking the Colts straight up. I blew my pick last year so hopefully I'll hit on this one.

I'll say Colts win 30-17.
I'd like to see Manning and Dungy win. Dungy has gone through a lot and has always handled it in a classy manor. I'd like to see him in Miami, at the podium, with the Lombardi trophy. I have 8 boxes in three different pools. The numbers haven't been drawn yet. I'm just hoping I don't get the dreaded 5-5/2-5/5-2 combos. I'll probably wait til game day to decide on betting the game. I hope it doesn't go back up to 7. |

If Rex Grossman wears a Superbowl ring before Peyton Manning, they might as well dismantle the whole league.
