KIDabra Conference 2007 News
KIDabra 2007 Conference
The 16th Year
Pigeon Forge, TN
Music Road Hotel Complex
August 15 - 18, 2007

1. The Secret Revealed: A Visit with Terry Herbert!

From the UK making his first ever KIDabra appearance - KIDabra Conference Welcomes, the incomparable Terry Herbert!

Terry has entertained children the world over for 50 years! His Children's Magic the Herbert Way was Supreme Magic's best selling video now re-released on DVD by L & L Magic. Two years ago his second DVD- Magic for the under 5's was released by Practical Magic at KIDabra and was an instant hit! Terry is known for popularizing George Blake's Silver Scepter (which you'll see him do) and Warren Stephen's Wobble Wand, just to name a few.

I had the great fortune to spend several days with Terry in early January and loved meeting him. He is charming, quick witted and an entertainer to his core. At KIDabra you'll find him easily approachable and simply a delight!

Come to KIDabra Conference and enjoy An Evening with Terry Herbert hosted by David Kaye and An Afternoon with Terry - see his show performed live and then see the lecture.
Don't miss this Once in a Lifetime Special KIDabra Event - A Visit with Terry Herbert! Our thanks to David Kaye for the continuing work in helping make Terry's appearance with us possible.

2. Friday Afternoon Breakouts
Jozo Bozo- Show in a Briefcase - The Workshop
Croatia's Jozo Bozo is a genius! I came to this conclusion a couple of weeks ago as I watched him take Ralph the Great's Birthday Party show props and install them for daily use, insde a briefcase, in a logical, organized, and professional manner. Folks have been very impressed as to how he does this for himself with complete one hour shows housed in tiny spaces. (I'm hoping some of this will rub off on me - Mr. Pack Big:>). At KIDabra this year, he'll teach you how to do it as well. Understanding his thinking about what goes in and what stays out is easily worth the price of attendance for any working pro. Friday Afternoon Breakouts are a KIDabra Feature Event! Stay tuned more to come!

3. Optional Marketing Sessions – August 14 & 15, 2007
We'll be announcing more Marketing Speakers in February. Make plans now to join Bruce Amato at Marketing Sessions as he shares The Daycare Dilemma - The ins and outs of working in the daycare and preschool market. From getting the work, the fees and importantly working with daycare directors.

Bruce also goes into putting the show together with the types of effects that work great along with the benefits of adding educational material. Of much value, learn how to create a program that is logical for 3 and 4 year olds.

And discover how to make it all pay off by learning how to get multiple bookings from a single daycare booking and more!

Marketing Sessions start Tuesday evening and continuing throughout the day on Wednesday. Learn from new lectures by Bruce and many more to be announced. Since the Conference Center has many lunch choices available this year, we're lowering the price and giving you the opportunity to choose your own lunch at a reasonable cost. The Marketing Session is only $92.00!

4. KIDabra Conference Savings for KIDabra International Members until January 31st! Take off $15.00, but hurry!

KIDabra International members register for the 2007 Convention before January 31, 2007 and take $15 off your registration! You can register online, by phone or mail. 9. OAQ (Occasionally Asked Question)
KIDabra Conference is in Pigeon Forge, where in the world is Pigeon Forge, TN?
Pigeon Forge is a resort/vacation town tucked in the corner of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park (The most visited national park in the US) and just next to the lovely town of Gatlinburg in eastern Tennessee.

Pigeon Forge is known for it's many theaters and outside of Broadway, Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri comes in about 4th in the live show distinction. The area is rich with Country Music and is one of the areas of origin of Bluegrass Music. Outlet mall shopping with all the popular stores represented is huge here and close to our hotel. Yes, there are bargains to be had! Of course what really put Pigeon Forge on the map many years ago is Dolly Parton and her theme park Dollywood. And yes, just like Las Vegas, Pigeon Forge has it's wonderfully tacky strip of Restaurants, Hotels, Attractions and Shops. (Just no gambling, that's 45 minutes away in Cherokee, NC) If the kids are coming with you there's endless stuff to do at water parks, wacky miniature golf courses galore, touring Cades Cove the very popular restored settlement, exploring Forbidden Caverns in nearby Seviereville (very cool), pan for gold and gems up and down the strip, check out Wonderworks (the upside down building) full of interactive, hands-on science fun (Which gets an enthusiastic thumbs-up from Ralph the great and Jozo Bozo) and of course go see our friend Terry Evanswood's fantastic show! Discover more info about Pigeon Forge at mypigeonforge.com It really is a fun area to explore, come a day or 2 early or stay a bit after Conference, to soak in the scenery, you'll be glad you did!

What if there was a place and a group of people that existed to meet the special needs of folks who perform for kids and families? What if there was a place to motivate you, educate you and point you in the right direction? What if there was a place that helped person after person build successful performance careers? What if all of this really existed? A place so good that your competitors won't tell you they're a member because they want to keep all the resources for themselves.

It does, it is KIDabra International!
