Well, obviously 'The Sting' is one of them. I also noticed in 'Grease' that Rizzo does a kinda waterfall shuffle twice near the beginning. Does anyone know any other movies containing card tricks/flourishes? I must see them all.

Maxim.

Maverick, starring Mel Gibson, has him doing a one handed cut I think. There is also a guy doing bottom deals.

Woody Allen performs a color change and some other tricks in his early satiric movie "The Sleeper" (I hope this is the original english title).

I think batman has Jack doing a one-handed cut. And in Fallen, you can here a kid saying the patter to the "Put one on top for magic purposes" trick.

"The Super" with Joe Peschi has a great Three-Card Monte scene. Not really "magic" but many magicians perform it!

There are some fun bits concerning card tricks and scams in Preston Sturges'great screwball comedy The Lady Eve (1941).

Simon Lovell provided the hands for Jack Nicholson in the Batman movie.

Although it's not quite magic, Michael Moschen was the hands for David Bowie in Labyrinth when he's doing the contact juggling.

Mission Impossible,

Although not cards it is a nice flourish when he vanished a CD case.

Who advised him on that trick?

Steve Martin in "Dead men Don't Wear Plaid" does coin rolls. Mel Gibson in "Lethal Weapon" also does coin rolls. And in the movie with Steve Martin about the evangalist(sp?)(I think the it is "Leap of Faith") a kid laps a bottle top to make it vanish.

There are tons more, but I have to go so there are my few.

Yavid, i think that CD vanish was just CGI'd out. Camera trick, not a sleight.

Alan Shaxon did.

In Top Gun, Val Kilmer does a knuckle roll with a coin in each hand. Also, in Magic with Anthony Hopkins, he's sitting in the back of a taxi doing a knuckle roll. (That's the first time I ever saw it and I went and sat in my room and learned it!)

I just saw a movie with a fortune telling prostitute who used cards. "The Brotherhood of the Wolf (Wolves?). She does a ribbon spread, flips em' over and then you catch the back end of what looks like a razzle-dazzle cut. Wished they showed more...Smile

There is also the movie "God Of Gamblers" with Chow Yun Fat, although it is in chinese with English Subtitles.

The movie is very good, but the subtitles are sometimes very hard to read!

In the brotherhood of the wolves movie if you pay close attention you will notice that the lady does a double lift and then turns the "card" over again to show that it has changed.....watch it again and you will see.

There is also a movie coming out with tons of card stuff in it. The movie is called Shade. I'm not sure when it will be released, but some of it was filmed at the magic castle. Lots of magicians have had something to do with the movie. I hear it's supposed to be pretty cool.

House of games is a great movie, it has a lot of flourishes and tricks in there, and I think the updated movie version of "Romeo and Juliet" has that one black guy appear something in his hand and makes it disappear. O_o
