I was just wondering if any of you know what the name of the song is that was used in a lot of the worlds greatest magic specials and is now used in a lot of magic demos.
Thanks |

The WGM music was made to sound like other songs, but was changed enough to avoid copyright issues. For example, the WGM song might be comprised of the same rhythms, but the notes were changes just enough to be "legal".
This fact notwithstanding, I think the "true" version of the song you are looking for can be found on the Cirque du Soleil "Nouvelle Experience" CD.

I think, Gary Oulettes son did some (most? all?) of the music for these shows. Or at least he had a part in it...
I also think I remember that he was producing music for other performers as well. I may be WAY off on all off this, and none of it may be true.... but I do think it is part right anyway. Check the credits on one of the shows, see who is credited for music, maybe you'll see Garys sons name, and then be able to do a search on him, and maybe he is still producing music. SB |

I don't guess I'm familiar with the elevator illusion in WGM. David Copperfield uses "Find a Way to My Heart" by Phil Collins.

At one point Gary Ouelett's son had a website where you could buy CDs of the music from the shows. But I can't find it on Google anymore.

No, I meant the music for elavator 2 on Peter Loughrans website.

Sounds like a "stock" track to me. Why not e-mail him and ask?
