I am working with the Aronson stack because
I plan to do poker demos, but the Aronson
stack is really interesting because it has
an embedded stack in it. If you like the
idea of poker demos The Aronson stack is
good.

If not, you might want to do what Tamirez did
and memorize a stack several faros into new
deck order. I'm not suggesting learn his
stack, because from what I understand the
New Deck Order of playing cards in his country is different than here (makes sense)
I suggest that if you want to go this route
learn it 4 faros in from NDO of a standard
deck of playing cards from where you live.

If you want to learn a stack, you can use
all sorts of shortcuts to get it down, but
why? When you can gain some kind of benefit
why not just spend the effort to learn one
with perks? I used a mnemonic system to learn
the Aronson stack, but Im going back to learn
it rote so that I have it lightning fast,
the mnemonics are just an aid incase my memory fails me. Think about that. Whatever
system you use to learn the stack should have
a decent recall time in case you forget, and
it is best if you STILL learn it the hard
way. A professional would do it that way.
Its your magic reputation on the line, no one
can decide for you, but I hope we can be
informative.

I personally use the Aronson Stack and feel that the built in effects are very strong. And, it's supported by the many routines which Simon and others have worked out for it over the years.
However, if you are seeking an easy to learn memorized deck, I suggest Doug Dyment's Quick Stack. It's contained in his book: Mindsights. It's subtitled The Half-Hour Memorized Deck... and I think that's pretty accurate. Look for it at http://www.oratory.com
I write a monthly column on memorized deck work in the Ezine: Smoke and Mirrors. I'm always interested in meeting and corresponding with memorized deck users. So, to promote that, I have a standing offer to send to anyone the back articles I've written at no cost. Then, if you care to share anything you've come up with, that would be great. I also hope to organize a gathering of Memorized Deck Devotees some time during the coming year. Contact me if you have any interest in that.
