It never got me excited enough to buy one. It is an obviously gimmicked shaker. If it were done with a clear transparent glass shaker instead of a solid opaque body shaker, then it might be more of a mystery. I can imagine stuffing several different colored silks into a large clear glass shaker, covering it with a clear glass top and shaking it. Suddenly the silks are gone and the shaker is filled with clear water. Pick up a flashlight and shine it through the shaker and the liquid is seen to turn red in color. Pour out a glass of red liquid. Shine the light again and this time the liquid turns blue. Pour out a blue liquid, etc. Isn't that much more magical? I'd pay $10-$20 for a shaker like that!

This is the magic hands cocktail shaker. I do a different version (it is demoed on the website) called the Atomic Cocktail Shaker. I think it is much more complete routine.

I've tried the link on this thread and there is no photo of the prop. But by the description I'm fairly certain that this is the old Niffen Tube (which actually has its roots in a much older effect from Hoffmann's "Modern Magic").

The only person I've ever seen using this prop was the late great Aldo Richiardi. He used it in conjunction with the Brahmin Rice Bowls, as part of the opening routine of his illusion show.
