I'm actually getting scared now. If the equation ever gets out there may be no need for children's entertainers at all. Anyone could do it!
Oh lord, what have I done....?

In a leap year, February has 29 days
This year there are 28 days in February We are already in the month of February 28-1=27 27 songs. One each day. On the last day, you can rest and prepare for March, which is a whole different story! |

19 songs Scody? Think about it...
Take the number 19 and subtract the smallest digit (1) from the largest (9) Take the answer and add that to your original 19. Need I say any more?

That would be an additional eight songs not seven to hit 27. My question is do you count instrumentals as songs or only those which the children sing? Does the entire song have to be played or can you play just a few seconds because that would either reduce the performance time or leave space for additional songs or perhaps skits.

Your mathematics are incorrect, Santa, and Kimmo is right on this one. He did point out that you needed to take 1 from 9. 19+8=27 not 28. That is ok though, Santa. It is only just over a month since Christmas, and I bet you're exhausted from dealing with all those kids all over the world. I find it hard enough when I have only 20 at a birthday party. That is why I have 27 songs. It helps me through it all!

If you have two parts to your show and only 27 songs this means 13.5 songs per half. 1 + 3 + 5 = 9 x 2 = only 18. Where have the other 9 songs gone to? Is THIS the magic secret formula Kimmo is so worried about?

That's because our minds work on a higher plane - and consequently higher mathematics. It's elementary, dear boy.

So your revised formula should actually read: 1+3+5 = 9 x 3 = 27 Or more correctly written as: 3(1+3+5) = 27 This actually supports my original unified theory of children's entertainment, which states: e=9(3(t+27s))

I do not understand your comment, Clownboy. What is the "it" that we have lost, and why do people call you CRAZY? Are you? If you are, I can refer you to another site of "Medics helping Maniacs". I believe Snotty Potty knows the link.

Potty is currently indisposed - the yellow van is dealing with him.
He'll soon be out on license. Be patient Clownboy - the yellow van will be visiting you shortly. Meanwhile, back to the maths. Einstein would be proud of us. Posted: Feb 3, 2007 11:39am Kimmo I thought I was overlooking something. Thank you for pointing out my fundimental error. What it is to have a mathematical genious in our midst. Mr Pants, sir - I congratulate you, sir. You don't mind me calling you sir, do you sir? You know I don't really mean it. (TOOAATB). Clown boy - are you Welsh? Potty is currently indisposed - the yellow van is dealing with him. He'll soon be out on license. Be patient Clownboy - the yellow van will be visiting you shortly. Meanwhile, back to the maths. I think I have it. Just ONE song. The whole length of the show, you sing it yourself, replacing your patter. In fact, in the glorious tradition of Gilbert and Sullivan, you could make it a PATTER SONG! Thus achieving two goals in one. Yes, I think I might try it! I could start by playing my guitar, then go into "Day-O" - the banana calypso song, as I perform multiplying bananas. A fast patter song will accompany "Silver Sceptre", and the piece de resistance will be a song I wrote myself called "Peanuts and Snot", which I will sing in between "free phrases" in which I will work my version of PB&J with a kid from the audience.
Thanks guys! |

Potty, could the one song have 27 verses?
Best, Dan- P.S. I think Clownboy is the only sane one left. He can call the yellow van for the rest of us. I'm currently indisposed as I am being fitted for a dinner jacket with arms that tie in the back. It's quite posh actually, velvet lined. "MT is one of the reasons we started this board! I think only 27 verses would mean each verse would be rather over-long, a bit like a Wagner opera. I'm thinking 81 verses would be better.
