I used a tailor because I can't see to thread a needle and, at the price, to lazy to do a half-backed job myself.

I'm currently using the velcro method so my tux and suits are always ready to go. I have developed a tried and true method of performing this effect with any pair of pants without going to the pocket or ever bending down. If interested PM me and I'd be more than happy to share. Would reveal to much if I posted.

He has done it at lots of competitions and won them. David Pen doesn't need to put his hand in his pocket which makes the difference for me. Many top pros from lands end to john of groats have wanted to buy David penns original version of this method but he has declined. If I had the choice I would buy david penns version but it isn't for sale. he amazes and amuses his corporate audiences with this trick and he'll be keeping it this way. Simon [/quote]

I basically stopped using this effect after giving it a chance. I find the load at the beginning to be too risky and requires a ton of misdirection. Also, there are lots of elements that you need to have, including your special pants. I was wondering if others gave up on this yet.

Make sure everything is well aligned before you do the effect and you won't have any problems with it. Not hard to do with a little tug. If that doesn't work, your gimmick might not be installed properly.
I've only had a few times that it hasn't worked right for me but I was able to cover it well. I've learned how to adjust so it's basically sure fire. Don't give up on it. It's killer!

It's not often I add a piece of commercial magic to my professional routine....however adding this was a no brainer. As explained in other posts, using a velcro method allows for the use of multiple pairs of paints. I am also awaiting Richard Sanders approval to release (using his gimmick) a no pocket, no bending method of performing this routine. I have used this method professionally and it plays very strong because the hands never go to the pocket. For those having difficulty loading in front of the audience, try loading it under the polishing cloth right in front of the spectator. Can't go into detail w/o revealing too much of the workings of Interlace. For those interested I also have a method using an offbeat misdirection of going to the pocket without the spectator ever suspecting. PM me for details. Hope this helps those who are on the fence deciding whether to purchase this or not. Michaels PS...Thanks to all of you who have pm'ed me showing interest in my no pocket, no bending method of performing Interlace. Out of respect to the creator of this great effect I am still waiting for Richard Sanders approval to release this method.

Anybody else order any interlace accessories from richards website? I ordered some about two months ago and still have not recived anything. I E-mailed Richard two weeks ago and again last week and never got a responce. Anybody else have any trouble?
Don't get me wrong here, I love this effect and think Richard is great. Just asking if this is normal. Thanks, Tim

One word: GENIUS!
The price Richard put on this effect may even be a little low for what you get! You get a very clear Booklet, a fantastic instructional DVD, all of the gimmicks you need, many pairs of matching shoelaces to match the gimmicks, Everything! You will not have to go out and buy anything for Interlace.. Sanders thought of everything. The DVD is the best I have seen included with a singe magic effect. Everything, even the sewing, is done in real time just so you can follow along and see exactly how it is accomplished. He includes over 10 awesome bonus handlings and even teaches how to incorporate the Any Ring Hankerchief with the effect. The gimmick is very well made. The initial set-up will take between 30 minutes to one hour, but after that you are set for life. The gimmick works surefire every time. It is actually quite amazing how well it works! When you first see the gimmick, you will think "How can THIS work every time? Well, it can, and very quickly and effectively. This is without a doubt the best effect of 2007. Highly Recommended. I went for the Velcro method as soon as I looked at it. It was the first thing I saw after I started reading the manuscript, as when I first picked this up when it came out, I was on my way out and caught the postman and knew what it was. I looked through at the manuscript and saw what I had and figured out wheat I would be ding. So the velcro idea struck me. It is great, and portable, and makes the effect so much easier to transport. I have it set up for 3 suits and 2 pairs of jeans!

Apparently there was a mix up with the mail. Richard has been on tour for awhile and that is why he did not respond to my E-mails. I just wanted to set the record straight so that no one would be put off on ordering from him if they happened to see the above post. Richard has proven to me that he is a stand up guy and really took care of me and he did so personaly and with utmost speed. Yours, Tim

Can someone please pm me any methods they might have to do the "setup" before making the ring dissapear?
I've recently got it but like other people here am not comfortable with the way Richard teaches the load. Any help would be appreciated. Durgy |

Behind the back works great. Do the old, "See, I made it disappear joke." It will always get a laugh and it makes the load a lot easier.

I use the behind the back load. Gets a good laugh and if you're worried about being surrounded, use a jacket or an outer shirt, that way you can work behind it.
I've been using this to great success lately and the gasps have been pouring in! Verily, it's one of the BEST tricks ever released! Easy, effective and to the point! One of the most talked about effects after my performances.

There is one guy in France who sells the same effect but with different method (the ring ends really attached to the lace, seems miraculous).

I saw Darryl do this last week while we doing some magic at the hairdresser's. Wow it is a very strong piece of magic. Everyone in the shop went nuts and they are still talking about it. I had ordered one here off the Café' just prior and after seeing the reactions Darryl got I can't wait to use it.
I think I will go with the velcro method it sounds great. magicmike30

I have lost my Interlace shoe gimmick last night at a gig, and really need another for next week. Does anyone living in the UK have one for sale or know of a UK dealer that stocks them. I know Richard Sanders sells them but it wont get here quick enough. Can anyone help me, or tell me where the best place to post this is.
Thanks Sean |
