Yes... Definitly carry more than one copy of your music. I have had several bad experiences with soundmen misplacing my music. And back when we were using cassette tapes it was even worse when one of the tape players would decide to eat a tape in the middle of your Dancing Cane routine.
I also carry additional props,fisrt aid kit,fire extinguisher,a toolbox filled with everything I may need to do a repair, and several more doves than I will be using.

It's still a good idea to have your music on both cassette and CD. Ya never know...

If your act requires music, it is also a good idea to have some form of cassette or CD player with you, even a portable one. If the worst case scenario happens, and the venue system goes down, at least you can have music for your act. Yes, this did happen once, and no I didn't have a player available. REALLY wished I did.

Having 2 of everything would be great! There are some very important props I use in some of my opening and closing routines that have been discontinued and they are no longer being made. I actually have 2 of one discontinued item and 3 of another, but I can no longer get them so that may not be enough. If I had known that they were being discontinued I would have bought more. The other day I saw an inexpensive item that I use being closed out so I bought 3 more sets. I have 5 total now! I may never need that many, but who knows. At least I found out in time this time.
