Hello
I was given blank back, blank face, double face, full blank cards Now I need tricks for them, can someone please recommend a book or even better a video to use the gaff cards. I can see the double face being fun. I have never used gaffed cards now and I would love to try it out now that I know many slights thanks in advance to anyhelp |

2wo Faced DVD by David Forrest is very good. All the tricks on this DVD use STANDARD GAFFS, such as those you speak of, as long as you are skilled at a few basic slights. Also, the DVD comes with Gaffs.
Check out the video on the attached web site. http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/2wo-faced-......735.html
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Yeah, 2wo Faced is a great dvd.
You need to be a little experianced at cards though, shouldn't be too much of a problem if you've been doing card magic for awhile. I don't know any other dvds or books that teach some gaff tricks. You could probably search around and you'll find some dvds that teach one trick using gaff cards. If your looking for 10, good tricks then I suggest buying 2wo Faced.

Get Focus by Phil Goldstein. Awesome book with tons of effects in it. Some use regular cards and some use gaffs, but there are some killer effects in it.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

My favorite gaffed cards DVD is Super Cards by Richard Sanders.

Jean Hugard's "Encyclopedia of Card Tricks" (a real book, not a DVD) includes a section that uses gaffed cards.

The media helps expose how tricks work. However, I'm not certain it improves magic acts. It appears to me that many "magicians" tend to collect media rather than learn to entertain an audience with magic. Step two gets ignored in favor of watching another DVD.
