Name your favorite close-up magic trick. And why.

One of my favorites is an effect by John Zander called "Your Card."

It's a fun card effect where a card is selected and lost in the deck. Then the spectator finds the card because it is "marked" on the back. But to see the marks you have to use the special glasses. The glasses, of course, are some goofy, joke-shop glasses. Just putting them on brings laughter (even by the one wearing them) There is more to the effect. But it plays strong, and brings a lot of fun with it.

"Name your favorite close-up magic trick." - performed by whom?

Give "Snapper" to Eugene Burger, and I'm sure you will wind up with a fabulous mystery. Give a Chop Cup to 98% of the guys who post on YouTube, and you got a trick anyone can buy at a magic store.

Give a chop cup to Bruno Copin and you wind up with something involving IT and a red rubber nose.

Go figure.

I love Ricky Jay's poker deal. He can play it at a table in a real poker setting, surrounded by spectators.

I really enjoy Matrix variants. And a good cups & balls routine.

Hey Vandy, it's me Josh. What are you favorite close up tricks? Mine are;

1) Coin Sleight
2) Crazy Horseman Cuff + Star gazer
And lastly
3) A deck of card

I was trying to get him to clarify the question. If he had added "..that you carry with you" , My answer would have been just that. Smile
