David: I have his book and I love reading it. He covers off on so much for body loads and steals and such. It is a wealth of great information. I will certainly have to pick up his DVD. I have never seen his actual act and would love to.

I wish they'd used the Davenport lecture rather than the home lecture for the DVD. He is so much happier in the Davenport one, and the whole lecture is more entertaining. Sadly even the Davenports have sold out of that VHS forever...

David, It is not easy to describe, really.
There was this old guy (bear in mind I was in my teens at the time), in a cloak and tails looking very austere in a 'mini' sort of way - he also moved in a particular sort of way. Coins and billiard balls appeared and disappeared, strange noises happened during his act which signalled a 'happening'. He then took us through the loading and preparation for the act - that in itself was, believe me, mind blowing. Once he was set he asked us to check out how many loads we saw him take - he then proceeded to the act we had just seen. We had just seen him explain every load, right - I saw only one steal!!!! I firmly believe that his act today would stand as a pure manipulative experience and I think the only person in today's world, from a purely manipulative point of view, that I know, is Brian Sefton (a UK performer). I am not of that ilk - manipulative, yes, but I try to make it lay people friendly (if that is possible!!). Best, Dave
