Apparently, this guy does not even consider himself a magician, but rather a mime. I have to say, this act is, in my opinion, the closest thing to real magic I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant!

Brent: THANK YOU for posting this. I have heard about his act and have been wanting to view it for a very long time. All I can say is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! WOW!!!
That is EXACTLY the type of thing I have been preaching about in the magical arts for a very long time. Here is someone who did not look inward at magic for ideas but went with something so new, so fresh and so creative that it forms something entirely different. It is not just another magicla clone. The audience and myself included was drawn into the entire experience. Never did I find myself thinking or wondering how it was done or why he was doing what he was doing. I was just captivated by the magical experience taking place. I was literally drawn in to the act and experience and just was able to sit back and enjoy it as magical theater. People say there are no new ideas in magic. They say that magic is stagnant and can not be a higher artform. Well this shows you that all of that is not true at all. It can happen and this gentlemen has done just that and so beautifully. Sure he uses different methods and techniques but the overall experience was one in which you just did not care about any of that technical stuff. You fell for the character. You were engaged by the storyline taking place. You laughed at the comical situations and you were thrilled by the surprise ending. To me it was like watching a magical, theaterical play of sorts. A short play that has a begiining, middle and end and had so well defined characters that even in that short few minutes you could not help but feel an emotional response from what you were seeing. WOW! That is what I am talking about. That is creativity in the magicla arts. doing something different and thinking outside of the norm. Who says a zombie or any floating ball for that matter has to be a ball at all? Who says it has to be a cloth of a certain type handled a certain way? no one. The only ones saying that are magicians ourselves. This guy obviously made a conscious effort to look past what has been done before him and think about the magical experience in a totally new and fresh way. He must have concentrated on the storyline and the emotions hewas trying to convey and THEN went to find the magicla means for which to make that happen. I can only hope to see this man perform this live some day and I hope he continues to create and inspire. Kyle

That was really nice. Totally new and fresh performance as said above. This is proberly one of the best performance that I have seen in a long time. Escpecially the ending with the head was a great kick to the head I just could not take my eyes of the screen for the whole performance, and also not the other 3 times that I watched it again . This was just great thanks for the post.

It's really great indeed!
To be honest, I didn't even realise it was a zombie ball until I read this
Hello there!

That is exactly my point. You do not realize it is because you are so involved with the routine and what is happening. The zombie effect is not seen as being the "same old thing". It is so creative and inventive that it takes on an entirely new feel.

I have to mimic what Kyle has said. As a former theatre major, I was amazed at this routine and totally looked past the fact that it was a zombie ball routine. I think I enjoyed it more for the dramatic presentation than for the magic itself. Totally awsome!!! Beautiful.

Exactly. It briongs magic to a new level of creativity. It allows the audience to just get into the performance and enjoy it for what it is. Very well done.

I'm always surprised that more people have not heard of Jerome. He is a very talented French performer who won Monaco a few years ago. I guess many don't know about him here in that states, but he's very big in Europe. He a true original.

A very talented entertainer. What I admire the most was that he throw all te old ideas out the window and created an entertaining experience that is new and totally refreshing. That elevates the art and takes it to new places.
