I was at World Market store around Christmas time and they had very inexpensive multipacks of popcorn boxes that look pretty much like the Dye Boxes - they might still be around - I think is was like 20 for $7 or so or even cheaper. Thought this might be a good buy if you do the trick and wanted to share.

Thanks! I have to wait until I'm in a city with a World Market but I will be searching.

Update - Their regular price is $7.99 for 20 and I just got 2 20-packs. I'm making a Dye Box as I type and the only real difference between these and the one you get as a trick is the bottom is more attached to itself, but that's easy enough to open fully. The seam of the box can be opened as per Tommy Windsor's instructions for building your own so the box itself can be displayed inside and out at the end of the routine as usual. And it also doesn't have a big magic company logo on it. The box is pretty big, 8.5" high when closed by almost 6" wide and 2 3/4" in depth.
And voila, it's good to go. These don't seem to be in the online catalogue, but should be a regularly-stocked item in the stores in the BBQ/entertaining tools section. |

I think I saw these boxes (not sure how there were packaged) at the Dollar Store on an end cap with popcorn...
