It depends what you are going to steal?
their are dvds on dove steals which with a little imgaination could be used for other items. what sort of thing do you wish to steal? |

Ting,
Yea! We finally got you to post! Keep it up. There are many sources of written materials on body loading. More are paperback than hardback. I would start with one of the Shimada tapes or DVDs. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander PS --- Where are you? There may be a lecture or convention nearby. |

I don't think there will be any lecture, but we'll have the AMA this year. Hope I can see you there! PS--- Are there any lectures & conventions in Las Vegas during April (this Easter)?, because I may go to Las Vagas during my Easter holiday. |

Ting,
Thank you! Now you have doubled your posts on The Magic Café. I would like to be in Hong Kong for AMA but I'm not going to get the time this year. It should be fun and educational. Let's plan ahead and get me to Hong Kong for magic another time. I would love it. While you are in Las Vegas, ask at the magic shops about body loading media. Mean while, almost any literature about dove magic should get you acquainted with some of the principles of body loading. You don't have to use doves. Even dove workers practice with a bundle of socks! Contact Joey King by email kingscastle1@excel.com for information about Ring 257 and what magical activities will be going on in Nevada in April. The website for the magic club there is http://ring257.com/ Enjoy! Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

I'd suggest studying Billiard Balls too, they cover almost all sorts of body loads that aren't loop steals. And the book I'm surprised no-one has named is Geoffrey Buckingham "It's Easier Than You Think", it's hard to track down, but it's the book for body loads and steals.

Ting,
I have always used a great deal of the information in Rice's Ency of Silk Magic from the "non-apparatus productions" sections and adapted those tactics to various items. Good luck.

Yeah I use loop steals and have done with spring flowers too. Cut a holder out of a flesh back card to the shape of the flowers, and stick a loop on. Put that in a natural handy pocket... waistcoat/top pocket, and stick your thumb in the loop and pull out. Really simple really. Just make sure you get the balance right.
