I often use a flash paper coin fold. I feel it would be more effective to have my spectator hold the coin fold however, the flash paper is quite flimsy and they would notice almost instantly that the coin was no longer there...
Anyone have any advice on this?

They really don't need to hold the coin per say. After securing the coin in place, I always offer a spectator to feel the coin sealed safely inside. Immediately following I address the spectator with a question/statement and simultaneously steel the coin into finger palm position. Hope that helps?

Gaddy,
Let's assume that you are just showing the spectator that the coin in in the paper. I hope that you are not igniting flash paper in the spectator's hand. Bob |

Gaddy I personally wouldn't even put it in their hands, due to the slight possibility that the coin could slide out of the "secret fold". I just make a point to emphasize that I'm sealing the coin inside with the last fold on top, and hold it by that portion while I offer the spectator to feel the coin. One other psychological bonus is using a pencil to rub the image of the coin onto the outside of the paper. Once the coin is stolen it still appears to be safely inside. If you don't already own "Fire Trap"- signed coin to book of matches, GET IT. This in my opinion in the best coin to other location based on ease of performance, and built in reasoning for every gesture, move, ect... This one will NOT disappoint you. Good luck.

That's a great idea also. Have fun with "Fire-Trap", you can't go wrong with this one.
