I dunno know much about 'em Baba, but I know Gemini ring is much newer.
It can supposedly do anything the Ellis ring can do and more.
You can flip it in the air and the ring and gimmick will stay together, where the assumption is that won't happen with an Ellis ring, so my guess is, it "snaps" into place or, I'll bet: it's m*gn*t*c. (You know, "stupid" muggles (so-called "laymen") can't read without vowels I guess.. heh)
I own neither though, so take it for what's it's worth.

Oh yeah, it is the million dollar question, that'll be a million bucks, please .. Smile

NO...I don't want to air dirty laundry on a public forum...

oh well what the heck...

I need your attention span to be directed toward another kind of RING...as in

ring ring...ring ring....'Hello?'

don't worry, Ellis won't answer.

That's so phoney! But then, what else could we expect from the Grand Vizier of Gaffs?

I have three different Ellis rings (one is a coin, actually), two of which I use fairly frequently. I am not familiar with the Gemini ring, but for that matter, the Ellis variety does everything I need. I see no point in flipping it in the air and possibly dropping it to expose the gaff. A m**n** or a snap seems to overly complicate the handling.

I have a ring made by SASCO inc. years ago It resembles a thick brass washer with a large center hole. It looks different and handles with a different feel than the standard Ellis Ring. I do not know if they still make it, but if interested, you could inquire.

I think one of mine is similar, but I don't recall the manufacturer. Mine has a couple of concentric rings inscribed around the hole. It also has a defect from a lathe tool sliding across the ring, but I managed to duplicate this on the gimmick.

I just got to check out a Gemini ring today. I thought about buying it, but upon closer inspection, decided "nah".
First off, it's not magnetic. In fact, they're made of plastic.
It just fits very nicely is all.
Go with the Ellis ring, Baba.

Don't forget supermagnetman.net

I got my size 16 wedding ring ring for about $7! Very powerful too. Fits my pinky though but it works and looks exactly like my real gold ring.

People been saying this lately when I bring up this ring--THESE ARE NOT PK rings Smile.....they are just under cups and balls in age Smile I am sure, though, one could implement a PK ring with a routine with the Ellis....

anyhoo, Doug, ol' Boy, I'm callin' ya later ....

R. Paul Wilson is a fantastic magician and his products are first-rate. And his 'Gypsy Monte' effect is perfect for walkaround bizarrre, if anybody's interested.
