The third photo -- top row, all the way to the right -- is the classic cups. They are $89.

It could be there, but these cups are so well aged and beat on the inside that it is hard to tell. There are also multiple scratches on the inside of the tops. I think that Frank was using live porcupines for loads:-) Best regards, Glenn Godsey |

The ones I saw that were counterfeits had relatively smooth insides. There was no sign of beating. Also the beads on the outside were far shallower than a normal GA cup.

The stamping on Gary's cups was a bit hit-and-miss. Some genuine sets don't have the GA stamp; I have also seen sets where only one of the three cups is stamped.
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

Usually when I purchased a Gary Animal cup it had the GA in the bottom, but over time whenever I purchased them as Gazzo cups from Gary usually the hallmark was missing. I contributed this them being sold as Gazzo's and not Animal's.
I've seen Gazzo cups that have very smooth interiors that I bought from Gary, but never the shallow bead that Bill has mentioned. That is pretty much a giveaway if they are not true Gazzos because out of quite a few sets all the bead depths are consistant with each other.
