For the final reveal in Chaos sometimes one of the 2 chosen cards ends up at the end of a same color stack.
When this happens I know that one of the end cards of that color is the chosen card. Then I have to ask a few questions to deduce their card. ( is it a high or low card etc ) Is there any way to avoid this? I can;t think of any..... I hope this was clear. |

I know this is a late reply, but I was wondering if you still needed help regarding this effect. Your problem would only exist if the deck is given any cuts in the end. I'll try to show what I mean.
B = black selection R = red selection rrrrrrrrrBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb In this case, the red selection ends up at the inner end of the red stack. The red selection will always be directly beside at least one card of the opposite colour (black). It would never land at the outer end of the red stack because it would not be touching any black cards. The same applies to the black selection. Here are strange, but possible cases: BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb (black one at outer end of reds, red one at inner end of blacks) BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbR (black one at outer end of reds, red one at outer end of blacks) rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrBbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbR (black one at inner end of reds, red one at outer end of blacks) rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrBRbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb (black one at inner end of reds, red one at inner end of blacks) RrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbB (impossible) RrrrrrrrrrrrBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb (impossible) rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbRbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbB (impossible) As you can see in the examples, each selection will be directly beside at least one card of the opposite colour. I'm sorry for such an in-depth explanation. I hope you see now that as long as no cuts are performed at the end of the routine, you can instantly identify each selection without asking any questions. Please notify me if I have made any errors. |

Thanx Panimen,
I did eventually figure out that their cards would only be on the inside ends if no cut was done at the end of the dealing. Is this a great trick or what? I get great reactions with this one. I have even set the cards up right as I am talking to people. They always get a kick out of the crazy dealing procedure done in the effect. Thanx again for your input on this! |

No problem, MagicMan1957.
I agree, it's a wonderful effect but I've only just started learning it recently, so I have yet to perform it for an audience. I look forward to getting as great reactions as you receive. Pit Hartling's "Chaos" is indeed entertaining and baffling. |
