Never used it so I don't know.
I just posted it because it does fit the criteria.

Dan Harlan has a "Premium Blend" dvd with food as its subject. It's number 4 in the series if memory serves me right.

Mirror Glass red wine to silk. Try making some multiplying meatballs, lol. Dove pan food production. Ketchup Side Down. The peanut can snake thing could be a good sight gag.

Crack out a levitating hamburger ...

Seriously, I like french fry up the nose, and try loading a salami sandwich as a load for your chop cup/cups and balls.

There's the old 'Bake a Cake in a Hat' trick. This trick was in the very first magic book I owned (The Golden Book of Magic) and it's old-school magic, but it's fun.

There's the sliced apples and bananas trick. Magically slice them before peeling them.

How about P. Harris' Earth Shoes done with a small salami or loaf of bread.
Breadstick from coin purse.
Bill or Card in...just about any piece of food imaginable.
Beanie Weanie. P.H.
Bandana Banana.
Penn & Teller's Pizza card revelation.
Healed and Sealed Soda Can.
Water Monte (using s***h powder)
... that's enough for now, it's lunch time!

Paul Harris has several tricks using food as props in his AoA books. Don't have them with me right now, sorry I can't give a specific reference to them all.

Does the client specicialize in any certain type of food? You could always come up with an effect featuring that item -- Bill inside baked chicken, for example. Or a sponge routine ending with hot dogs. I've redressed old tricks like this to give them a unique theme for a special party an found the response is always great, even if the trick isn't my strongest. You could also do a "favorite foods" metalism prediction - mental epic would be an easy one -- thell them you are an expert on food psychology and you can guess anyone's favorite food...

I'm a culinary school grad and magician, so I'm always looking for ways to incorporate food into an act.

Eggs are a great way to go because they are so versatile

Fakini makes a GREAT set of multiplying eggs

There's always the sucker silk to egg

and of coure. .the egg bag

Supreme magic pizza oven if there are lots of kids present (which doesn't sound like there would be)

you can always do tricks with beverages - jim steinmeyers hospitality (or another "any drink called for effect)

anyway.. just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

ciao
