Hello all,
I'm new to the Magic Café, but have been kicking around the arena of magic and mentalism for quite a while. Just how long, may you ask? Well, more than forty years ago I was a member of an audience committee on stage with the great Dunninger, if that reveals my age just a bit. With an influence like that, you won't be surprised to learn that mentalism is my chief interest. But, of course, I've walked the usual path of kid's shows, card magic, doves and the like (but all eons ago). For the past dozen years I've really only pursued mentalism. My associated interests are the history of the craft, psychological subtleties and showmanship, researching credits and writing. I had a One-Man Mentalism Parade a couple years ago, and have had several books published. The one rule I've learned about mentalism is that there are no rules, so you probably disagree with the things I've written. That's okay; I'm ready to hear your take on the subject! Thomas Henry |

Hi Thomas,
Welcome to The Magic Café. It's nice and warm inside and the coffee's hot. You probably will need that being in Minnesota during the winter! It's great to have someone with your skills and talents join us. Personally I'm wanting to develop a mentalism act so I'll look forward to chatting with you inside about it. In the mean time, enjoy this hot cup of joe, from Joe. :coffee: |
