Hello Everyone,
I have finally remembered my password, and am able to use the forum again. I have designed a new dove act that I believe is going to be really cool. I am in the market to have some music mixed or purchased for the act. I am thinking along the lines of Jason Byrne type music. Does anyone know who I could go to for that? I also need some custom appearing canes and custom dove cages designed and fabricated, any info on either of these questions would be great. Thanks

I forgot which band Jason Byrne used... but you are going for some kind of techno/rock music then?? Try... Paul Oakenfold... he's GREAT. You might want to try DJ Dan.. and if you want some chill music get the Sleepy Hollow soundtrack from a few years back.

Hey Ben,
Thank you so much for your input on music. That music sounds really cool. I like the DJ Dan style stuff, and I don't know of Oakenfold. Is he good? Thanks again.

Jason does not use just one track from one artist, he uses about five different tracks from many different groups. If you are going to get your music made custom, be prepared to spend a lot of serious money. It takes a lot of time and effort. I recommend using groups people have never heard of, it makes it more mysterious. Because you don't want people saying "oh, this is DJ so and so, oh I love this song, they played it at that party last week...oh good times" right in the middle of your act. You don't want the music to take away from your magic.

I hadn't thought about that happening as a result of using popular and highly recognized modern bits. I will be making many changes to the music I thought would work for the act. |

where can I find this E-Jay? cost? and is it hard to use? All good advise on music, Oakenfold is cool. I also suggest using music that does not have lyrics because that is back to the point of taking away from the magic even if they aren't familiar with the song. |

I use http://www.kazaa.com also but you do not want your show being sued for boot leging music.

I always think about the old Carpeter's song: "Why do birds suddenly appear..."

Jason used some of the music from Richard Wayne Productions, Inc. Magician's Music Kit #1. Signature Series.
It is music made for editing. I recongnize one piece he used for the day glow coil routine he does. |

You can download E-jay, the demo, off of kazaa.. or you can buy it at staples, for the full price. It takes alot of trial and error to use, but once you complete a song, it is all yours. My bird act song is 100% mine, and its very unique. The program is also tons of fun to use. Let me know what you do.

I actually found music on old PlayStation 1 games. To my surprise, some of the racing games etc. would actually have .wav music on it. I found my dove act music four years ago on one and never switched. Check it out.
Also you can edit music using Audacity. Try looking on the web for it.
Experience the Magic.
