I really enjoyed the Cultural Exchange DVD's so maybe the same format, a mixture of coins and cards would be great for Shoot's new DVD.

Do you have some feeling is...you enjoy Shoot's trick and very excite, but his trick is very hard to learn?

How about this. I have 2 questions.

If Shoot new DVD tricks, not so technical, is it good ?
If Shoot trick have more stand up routine, not only perform on table,
is it good?

I am thinking the above 2 question.

Can give me some opinion? Thank you very much. (^_^ )

I like his technical ability.

I don't mind it being technical.
I like to feel inspired when I see such great skill, and what can be accomplished it. But he can include somethings that are not too technical.

Also more stand up. Some table stuff is good. But in many performing situations there aren't tables available. So we need stuff that can be done without flat surfaces needed.

Other things would be, things that aren't so angle sensitive. That can be played to a larger group of people.
If he can put in the explantion to how many people it can be displayed to or the angles that need to be taken care of, would be great.

Additional thoughts: If he is introducing new sleights or ones that are technically challenging, it would be good if he can give some type of advice on how to practice them and what to expect when practicing them.

If he has additional ideas to the trick. For example use a different sleight that would accomplish the same end, it would be good to hear it, and maybe why he chose the sleights he did.

If the trick ends dirty (example, coins palmed in one hand) can he give some ideas how to clean up. Also, if it requires to start in certain position, how do you get to that position.

Just some Ideas

Thanks for Asking,

Wil

Why I ask those question? because I will produce a new DVD for Shoot.

Marc Lee!

Shoot has a lot to share, so it's difficult to say. I'd like to see some of his great products (other than dvd's) released.
One that I would definately buy would be his unique and handy device used in his Jurassic Park routine (think you know what I'm talking about). An accompanying dvd showing routine ideas and handling would be great.
A dvd title (or series) that would really be awesome would be the best of his competition routines. As you know, his competition routines are in another stratosphere. There have been so many awesome routines and innovations, it seems best to make this a mulitiple dvd set, perhaps with added volumes in the future. A nice addition would be one or two guest routines per dvd, featuring some of his favorite magic routines that others have done in competiton. How awesome would that be?!
Also, ask Shoot about "Mastering the Force" If he is interested, I still have the original master that could be used as a reference guide in refilming it. Anybody who does magic with cards will be greatly helped by learning this work! Plus there is one bonus thing on there called "Force Yourself". When Mr. Yanagida did that one, my head nearly exploded. Anyways, this title probably isn't as "sexy" as the competition stuff, but would be immediately useful to a greater number of people because it is helpful to complete novices and pro's alike.
Personally, I wnat to see the competition stuff! Speaking of which, are you going this summer? Gonna invent all your routines on the spot again? That was pretty cool Smile
Peace,
Nabil

Hmmmm very interesting marc......so would this be a DVD in English, or is this going to be a special project of which it has any relation to you, wizard's inn or Hong Kong? sounds interesting.

As to the contents, I agree with the guys above about more stand up and less angle sensitive tricks.....or maybe a feature of shoot doing walkaround tricks and we can learn from his spectator management skills, which is another thing Shoot is pretty nice at? Smile

Sure! some walkaround close up trick, less table, less angle sensitive!

Hard is not a problem, if the trick good and work, people should use some time to learn.

He has a new DVD using ropes that he was selling at the Winter Carnival of Magic. He sold out and haven't been able to find it on the web.

That, plus ropes, and maybe if he has a T&R card version?..

Hi Nabil ! Long time no see.
I will join the magic master open in coming summer.

Regarding the tricks, I selected some tricks, some is stand-up with less table and less angle sensitive, and I added a one really really powerful mental card trick.

This DVD trick quality is very high, but the theme of this DVD is
"give more compact"

This DVD will be launch in this Summer.
If someone is interesting about this DVD, please send me a e-mail.

It is easy for me to let you know the latest news.

Thank you,

Mark

I agree with Scott completely.
I would also like to see Shoot perform walk around for a real audience. It seems like he gets around a lot and I would like to see how he reacts to different situations. It would be cool if Ogawa-san could perform in his native tounge (Japanese) without an English overlay. I personally want to learn more Japanese and I think that magic could be a great tool. (imagine doing matrix in two languages Smile )
