Both of The Lord of the Rings movie so far I thought were great but not near as good as the books. Any other LOTRs fans here?

I love The Lord of the Rings. I liked the fist one the best and I hope The Return of the King can win Best Picture. I thought the first one deserved it more than A beutiful Mind.

Here's the worst movie ever: "Manos: The Hands of Fate".
This movie was shot for the big screen with (are you ready for this?) 8MM film. Worse, the camera used had a defect that only allowed shooting for no more than 30 seconds at a time, so the number of cuts in this movie are unbelievable and highly distracting. The first half-hour or so of this movie consists of a family driving by scenery...driving...driving...wait! there's dialog...driving...driving.... They get lost on an abandoned road and wind up at a hotel owned by an evil cult leader known as "The Master" and run by his lackey "Torgo". Torgo, like all good evil assistants, is deformed. No, it's not a hump or a facial disfigurement - he has unusually large knees (?!?). It only gets worse and more pathetic from here on out. I can only assume that those who believe "Plan 9 From Outer Space" was the worst movie ever have never seen "Manos: The Hands of Fate". |

Yes, Scott, but it made for a great episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I enjoyed Count of Monte Cristo, LOTR, and Star Wars. Some of the worst are Houdini movies. Philip
