In the 1960s I remember seeing a comedian on TV who did "magic tricks" with just his fingers - making them "jump" from hand to hand, and doing the linking rings with them, etc., and all the time he was "singing" a song that went "Nah-na-na-na, Nah, na, na, na..." Does anyone remember him, and if so, what was his name? I was so young at the time, I have no clue as to who it was.
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Those lyrics sound so familiar. Remember that other one that went Dah-da-da-da etc

Art Metrano. There used to be a thread on here a year or two ago about him.

Art Metrano
Appeared frequently on variety shows in the early 70s as a magician performing absurd tricks (such as making his fingers "jump" from one hand to another) while constantly humming his inane theme song. Broke his neck in six places falling from a ladder while working on a house. After extensive rehabilitation, he can walk a little with difficulty, but generally uses a wheelchair. Through his one man stage act, titled "The Accidental Comedy", he has been able to raise more than $75,000 for Project Support for Spinal Cord Injury to help buy crutches, wheelchairs and supplies for others with spinal injuries. Known to fans as Mauser from the Police Academy Series.

Cool - thanks everyone. I didn't realize he was Mauser, also, but I figured he was known for other things besides the magic act. Looking at his bio on IMDB he seems to have been quite busy. I guess that song he was humming was "Fine and Dandy," by Joe Cook, which was also the theme song for the Tim Conway Show.
