Is anyone familiar with the Jawdroppers videos? Are they worth purchasing (good value for tricks). Are the tricks worth having?
Thanks, Brian |

Yes, the Jawdroppers videos are fairly well done. There's a lot of magic in those vids and you can pick 'em up for a great price on eBay. Overall, I think they're a good deal. I passed mine along to my son and he's having a ball learning the tricks!

The jawdropper videos are very well done with a lot of variety on them. I highly recommend them for beginners. Even more advanced students will find them useful as it is always good to be reminded of the basics of magic.

Very good for beginners and there is a cut and Restore cord trick that I do and people are stuck for words. I have been doing Childrens magic for a year now and I always use this trick.

Great for beginners who know very little about magic as the explanations are a little lengthy.

Couldn't agree more - Kieth the cut and restored string from those videos is a killer! It's probably the effect I've been most asked to do again and no-one ever even gets close to working it out!
Definitely worth buying for that effect alone! Bilz

Here is another thumbs up vote for the Jawdroppers videos. Some of the fun stuff I like was the dinner table magic. Great for all of those stuffy Holiday work parties and wedding receptions. The Zombie dinner roll, ghost silverware, bending spoon, and vanshing salt shaker have bailed me out of many tough nights.

I tool have the Jaw Droppers videos and did get a couple of good things from it... however, after glancing at my Mark Wilson course in Magic I realized A LOT of the things taught in that set came right out of that book.

Watching these videos is how I got started in magic many, many years ago.

I've got 'em too. While the explanations may be lengthy, they are thorough and pretty complete. They also provide patter options for you. Great investment. They're now available on DVD - I got mine before the proliferation of DVD.
Tally-ho! And Tuscarora too!

Damon, That is correct. Larry Anderson, the magician who created the Jawdropper tapes, assisted in putting together the Mark Wilson book when he was younger. His name is listed at the beginning of the book. Joe |

I also have the Jaw Droppers set. Some really fun stuff in there for beginners. I havent' watched it in a while, but I seem to remember a lot of lapping involved. Still lots of it could be tweaked for different performance venues.
I got mine on VHS but have since converted them to DVD.

I agree with MagicBH. Although I have both, the Mark Wilson book has served me much better in the long run, and is also cheaper to purchase.

Jaw Droppers has been put on DVD by Magic Makers Inc. and I hear they are going to launch the infomercials again.

After revisiting all of my old videos it reconfirmed that for close-up the Jaw Breakers set has more usefull material than I have ever seen.
