My mom is tracing the family tree. She was amused, when she found this picture of one of our female ancestors, posing with a microscope. Like the pictured woman, one of my brothers is a scientist and I am a photographer. My mom thought I should show my daughter, since she is interested in science (particularly mineralogy).
When I clicked on the link, the paragraph describing my ancestor mentioned her husband..... Nevil Story-Maskelyne (1823-1911), grandson of the Astronomer Royal and professor of mineralogy at Oxford. Kinda spooky stuff! http://www.swanseaheritage.net/article/g......E_ID=715

It is said that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Maybe the family tree. My maternal ancestors were also Lords and Ladies of Britain. While unemployed and taking classes, my English professor made us do a study on our family history. Very interesting thing to do. |

Well, names like "Nevil Story-Maskelyne" and grandsons of the Astronomers Royal and professors of mineralogy at Oxford are fairly common in that era. Sorry to be the guy to break it too you.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

Good one Josh! Well as a relative of both Harry Blackstone Sr. and Jr. I can tell you that such a relationship and 5 dollars will get you a cup of coffee just about anywhere. I like the horse theives in the family, they make it interesting. LOL.

My great grandfather was a drunk. I am Irish so most of my family are drunks. Of course I am also Scottish, so don't make fun or you'll make an enemy for life.
We might have stolen horses, but we can't remember. God help you if you accuse us.

My ancestors were ran out of the UK by torch and pitchfork carrying ancestors of Josh the S and then when they came to the US they either were laborors or criminals. Now I'm depressed.

I come from a looooong line of illiterate dirt farmers, my mom was the first one in her family to graduate high school, and I was a discipline problem my whole childhood, which makes me perfectly suited for my chosen profession.

Hello alsounds good,
My ansestral line on my mother's side is from Templar Knights of Malta and from my father's side side 15th century romany gypsies. I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree...As I have always had a deep active interest in all magical arts. Asyou all know it's not where we come from that matters its were we end up and what we contribute to the world that does. |
