I was looking for tricks on http://www.magic.org and I realized that all of the tricks were rated 5 stars out of 5 stars (each trick was "perfect"). Anyway someone online wrote that people should check out The Magic Café to know the real quality of a trick.

John Bodner, a.k.a. magicsojourn (his account here) told me about the Café during my first visit to his wonderful shop.

I was at first a regular poster at penguinmagic.com, but after reading something in one of the "penguin" posts, I was directed to the Café. And I have been here ever since.

Best,

I used to post regularly on expert magic - and was upset when they deleted their forums. I have been looking for a similar site since. I was on a magic shop site and saw the link - gave it a go and here I am.

From a friend/coworker of mine. He is a member here too but not sure if he wants me mentioning his name!

A magician friend who worked in a magic shop that I frequented first alerted me to it.

In February ('07) I Googled a couple of older effects by Eddie Joseph (Premonition and Bombay) and ran across this Forum. What a stroke of luck! The folks on this forum are friendly and helpful. The info found in various threads is very useful. I have made progress faster as a result of plugging into Magic Café. One of the biggest advantages for me has been getting leads as to where I can find info in the magic literature and media (books, magazines, videos/DVDs, etc.). Yep, no doubt about it... this forum rocks. Smile
