Hey Mark, good job on the site.

One point, your video clips didn't load (as of today 20:45 BST). If you can get that [little] problem sorted then that's one cool site. It does what it needs to do. Nothing too flash. Nice consistency regarding layout. Easy to navigate. Easy to read.

Okay I'll shut up now...

We can't be too far away from each other, by the way.

Take care,

Jason

Great job!!! The videos played fine on my end. The about link, below your picture on the home page, didn't work.

The vids are working like magic and I do like these card productions, that's a neat website.

Must just be me then! Just had another look and still 3 blank boxes underneath the titles...

Would it be something to do with my anti-virus software (Norton)? Anybody?

Seems a shame not to be able to view it properly...

J. Norton does some funny things sometimes. I have norton on my PC and the vid's play just fine. You might have to play around with some settings or what is allowed. I've always found Norton to be a trial and error problem when trying to solve a problem.

You could always turn it off for a minute and try to run the vid's. That showed narror the problem down a bit.

Not sure, I have norton a-v but no firewall included, for that I use Zone alarm, both set on max.

Cheers Dave, tried temporarily disabling Norton but no different. I didn't clear my cache so maybe it wasn't refreshing right. The page just tells me it's "done" without displaying the videos.

ZoneAlarm has a feature blocking ads. Maybe it is identifying those videos as an ad, and is blocking them.

I know that many of these websites with youtube clips will not load or run them unless you click on the "play" button. If you can't see even the first frames of the videos, then something else is wrong. I use Netscape which is based on Firefox and I can see the videos just fine. Only problem is, with dial-up, they take forever to load.

Mark, as for your website, it's a really nice job. My biggest compliment, and it's a BIG one from people who know me, is that your spelling and grammar were impeccable!

If I were to offer one suggestion for improvement, you may want to have a home page picture that shows a few less teeth. For some reason, I was afraid that you might try to jump out of the screen and bite my head off. Otherwise, it's a great photo!

I've got IE7. The page just displays the holders (?) I'm aware of the 'click to activate' on some video clips but left click, right click... nothing.

Thanks for any help.

I second that. It's a big let down for me when I see poor spelling.

Poor spelling isn't just a big let down, it comes across as very unprofessional, even immature. That also goes for poor grammar.

Hey Mark,
Good to see you are starting young and are well on your way. My best advise is to figure out where you want to be in 5 10 and 20 year, then work backwards from there. Most people just go through their career and see where it takes them. With a goal and a plan you can cut years off your learning curve. Find mentors that you look up too and model their sucess. Ask them how they got there and how you can do the same. Many times they will teach you things that would take much longer for you to figure out on your own.

Good Luck!

Hey Mark

A great site should be easily nav., fast loading, and informational. Yours looks good but lacks some content but will evolve over time. My last name is Watson as well, and I perform magic, juggling, balloons.
