Pennsylvania,
I am going to throw in Reading. Home of the Mingus Magic Shop since the 1940's, and home to Ring #57 and Assembly #92. Great convention not to far away in Kutztown come november. |

I'll have to disagree Ryan. Pittsburgh has the Cuckoo's Nest, plus several assemblies and rings in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Plus we're home to Paul Gertner and Devin Knight.

Tennessee would definitely have to be Nashville, home of Ring 37, Magicpalooza, and the 2009 IBM Convention!
Tally-ho! And Tuscarora too!

Ask any eight year old American kid and they will tell you that Disney World, Orlando, Florida is the magic capitol, they call it "The Magic Kingdom"....unless you live on the West coast...then that would be Disneyland.
Then again that is Disney's Magic......what exactly is Disney's Magic? Sorry I guess that is another topic of discussion. Steve Hart the "Motivational Magician"

Whats it going to take for some people to accept the fact that Colon MI is the Magic Capital of the World, an Act of Congress!
OK, here it is, straight from the 102d Congress of the United States http://www.magicgettogether.com/percys_chest/senate.html |

I believe I would say Nashville is the capital of magic for Tennesee. If you disagree with me prehaps Gatlinburg (Pigeon Forge) the home of Terry Evanswood. Nashville as far as I know has more active magicians then Gatlinburg. Jason Michaels, Scott Cantrell, Stephen Bargetze and myself along with many others are all members of IBM Ring 37 ( The Nashville Magic Club)

Of course for Kentucky, it would be Louisville, it being the birthplace of Lance Burton, Mac King, Steve Bargatze, past IBM president Bob Escher, and many other notables along w/ having the thriving Louisville Magic Club that hosted a successful SAM convention in 06 and of course a even more successful Combined Convention this year. And Louisville can now claim to have a regular venue for magic due to the start of the highly successful Battle of the Hands magic shows each month at the Comedy Caravan, which I preformed at in September and last Monday and if I'm invited back, I may do it again next month!

OK, No state has more "A"s than Alabama. (Roll Tide!)
Montgomery is the the capital (of the Confederacy) and Alabama. It was also home to the first HBO magician, Mercer Helms. (I don't know what Texas had to do to bribe him to leave Alabama.) Alabama is also where the recording industry goes to get writers and recording artists. Sweet Home Alabama! What me proud? Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Rumford, Maine's Capital of Magic, shines forth again in a great, great publicity stunt organized by Scot Grassette. Please see the coverage of the World's Largest Letter to Santa. This made The Boston Globe twice. I think that you will find it interesting to see what most people wished for.

I would The Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge Area for Tennessee's Capital
There are 7 MAGIC SHOPS in an 8 mile radius , where else in the USA has that many shops so close together. There are also some very talented magicians in the area too : Scott and Christian Compton , Terry Evanswood , Barry Mitchel , Dave Tallent , Michael Keating , Jerry Jerome , Betty Baldwin , Izzy , Greg Franklin . I do a show there at a resort every once in a while and I also starred a 2 month show called " Deception" at Michelle Gallery Cabaret , it held around 75 people . The shops I mentioned earlier are : Red Letter Magic and Crafts - Pigeon Forge Magic Beyond Belief Shop - Pigeon Forge Dollywood Magic Shop - Pigeon Forge Dave Tallents "NEW" Belle Island Shop ( open May 2009) Pigeon Forge Scott Compton Magic Shop - Gatlinburg Knowles and Fraklin Novelty Outlet - Gatlinburg Make It Magic , Glades Road - Gatlinburg
