Only only only enter confidential info on secured sites . Otherwise it is very easy for thieves to get your private info!

Right click the page and check its properties. A secure page's address must have a https:// in front of it (don't trust the address bar).

The pop up occurred as you were leaving the page that had your private information on it. All it did was tell you that you were about to leave the secure page and the next page that would be coming up was not secure. It didn't need to be because you wouldn't be entering any personal information. Nothing to worry about.

Most likely thing is that the merchant was using a third party to process the transaction. The secure and not secure message is because the Thanks for your order page was branded with non secure content.
I would not worry about this at all. Just keep to the reputable sites and check that where you enter your info is secure.

Thanks acmp,
There was indeed a third party involved and it was basically a thank you message along with my order I.D. It's a very well trusted site and I guess I got a little worried(overly) when it appeared Thanks again, Pete |
