Hey guys, I'm working on starting a stage act (which is something I know absolutely nothing about). I've been doing close up magic for the last few years and I was trying to add some stage effects to increase my marketability. The thing is, it seems there are not as many resources on how to start stage magic. Do you guys have any recommendations of where to start looking?

Tarbell course in magic 1-8. They'll teach you all about magic, so you can learn stage magic whilst continuing learning close-up, and with some good theory too. The early volumes were written back when stage magic was in its heyday, so you know all the material works. Tarbell will make a man into a magician. It'll also teach you a huge range of magic so you have a huge leway on style. You'll find it quite an eye-opener about so called new tricks that come out all the time... hehe...

Good point Paul, as Denny Haney once(repeatedly) pointed out to me..."there isn't much in magic that can't be traced to Tarbell".
