First I will describe the situation and if you have any helpful suggestions thank you.
The deck is face up with a red/blue DB concealing the face up cards, blue side showing. The spectator has selected and signed a card and pushes the card face down into the "blue" deck. I now have to move the DB to the other side of the deck with the red side facing the floor and the deck still face up. The ending effect is that the specs card is the only blue card in an entirely red deck, when originally they thought they were working with an entirely blue deck. I don't know what the name of the effect is. I have been stealing the DB in a sort of top steal/pass however it is quite noisy and I am looking for an alternative. The deck must be shown to the spec face up before showing the fact that the deck is now red. I hope I have explained well enough, and if you need more clarification just ask and I will do my best to provide better explanation. If you know the name of the effect please let me know as well. Thanks in advance, Will//

I mean, if the DB is on the top of the face up deck, it would look wierd if you only had one card face down when you fan/spread the cards. And if you turn the deck over they would see red backs. No? Also, how can thet put the selection face down in the deck without seeing it's back? Quote:

At end you will do what? Spreading the deck face down showing one blue back card? Sorry but I have to admit I'm at a loss. It sounds like a 'Color Changing Deck' routine. An advanced Café search for the phrase 'color changing deck' may help you. Best, |

Blink, that sounds very much like the end of my "in the hands triumph".
I usually use a tabled palm to cop the card and effect the change. When I had to, I used a variant of the one handed top palm to shift and turnover the card (pulling it around ) then a gambler's cop to extract it after an in the hands spread and display. Hope this helps, Jon
