Thank goodness the clip keeps stopping on my 'puter. Frantic magicians don't do it for me. This guy looks like he has studied under David Williamson.
JMHO Cheers!

The video stalled for at at 3:58, which is too bad – he's VERY entertaining! Lots to be learned here about connecting with an audience! I'd love to see his 3 fly!

I found this act very entertaining. He connected well with the audience and seemed to have his act down cold. I say, "Kudos to this young man".

I only watched half of it before I turned it off. No comparison at all to David Williamson.

It's odd. I wonder where it was taped? It is not the Magic Castle.

Hahaha... I thought that was really funny. You can see that the audience is not laughing or merely patronizing him but some of them are really laughing their hearts out. I think the way he connected to his audience and his 'improvisation' were commendable. Maybe he didn't mess up and that is part of his act. I don't know...
I like him

I wouldn't even try to mimic his style but I have to say I was very entertained. No actual magic took place and I think some viewers were disappointed by that, but I think if he entertained the crowd (and he did), he did his job.

I enjoyed it. It was a perfect parody of a terrible magician!
The only thing I would say is, it's too convincing. Halfway through I was still debating whether he was a genius or an idiot. I'm surprised Stanyon didn't like it as he was taking off the kind of magician he doesn't like. I did want to nail his feet to the floor at the start, though. George |

I thought it was entertaining. It was satire, I suspect it would be funnier for an audience that is familiar with magic.
I've seen hour long magic shows that didn't entertain me as much. I will admit though I was watching that blue box expecting some sort of magical climax, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it would be. Turns out it was just the old rubber dove joke. Still, I liked it. I suspect the reference to the Magic Castle came from the scenario that this guy was given just before he walked on stage to perform his improv.. It does say something that a comedian doing unrehearsed improve can grind more entertainment out of two decks of cards and a rubber dove than some magicians who practice, script and rehearse in advance. food for thought. -Rd |

Hmm... I like it! I'm pretty sure there's some brilliance involved in that. Pretty sure.
