It's been Spidy week in NYC!

Here's 9 minutes of what I think might be the most heartfelt film this summer Smile
Brad Bird is sooo good!

The magician in Spiderman 3 was Steve Valentine. He was the tall, black-haired photographer in the scene shot in a high-rise office building taking pictures of a group of models. Steve has also been a MAJOR player in the hit series "Crossing Jordan" as well as having had appearances in s number of TV Commercials, some of which were featured on the Super Bowl.

Steve is one of the top half-dozen EVER (IMHO) to work the close up room at the Magic Castle. Great chops and great entertainer.

He was missing his right arm in the second one as well if you haven't noticed

Dr. Connor's right arm was always missing from the time Peter first met him in the book. There wasn't a "back story" explaining how Dr. Connor lost his arm.

Definately not one I will be buying on DVD. I thought they crammed way too much into one movie. Each villian could have had its own movie with Spiderman. I hope I never have to see another EMO Peter Parker again...

Then you're going to want to stay away from the book. Peter has <always> been an EMO, he was EMO before EMO was cool! (<Is> EMO cool?)

Marginal film at best, too many villians and over narration to propel the plot -- always a sign of bad script writing. Hated Spidey teaming up with you know who at the end to fight the dirt version of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. Having the Ghost Busters show up to cross their beams would have made a much better ending than the Deux Ex Machina travesty we saw in the theatres. Even a guest appearance by the human torch would have made more sense.
The whole film lost momentum about halfway through and couldn't regain control of the plummeting script. They really should have left Venom as the cliff hanger ending but I think they felt that this was probably the last film and they had to cram all the extra characters into it. At least that's what it felt like to me. Why else waste screen time with Gwen? She's supposed to be dead by now anyway.

The high point of the evening was when I went to the concession stand and saw a long forgotten friend in the candy counter. After a near twenty year hiatus FLICKS are back!!!! Yeah!

I've never understood "villian inflation." It just clogs up the storyline.

Gwen isn't dead in the film universe because that storyline got used in the first movie with MJ, and Spidey didn't do the stupid thing and try to catch her with his webbing!

I liked it. And when he was all venomified... I was like, "NO! That butthead!" It was great. I really loved the random scenes that made little sense in the context of the entire movie. Walking down the street pointing, and then playing piano. That was so funny! I just didn't like the emo hair/mascara thing. He should have been tough, not emo.

I just wonder when Black Cat and the Lizzard are comming.

After this I hope they don't make a 4th actually. I wanted to know who I had to sue to get that 2 1/2 hours of my life back.

Even seeing it on IMAX didn't help at all.

They took some great charectors, which took many years to develop, intorduced them and killed them. I just wish they stuck with Harry, and introduced Venom and used him for the 4th movie.

Ah... I thought this was a reference to the comic Emo Philips and did not get the "eye makeup" stuff.

In Japan there are guys who've taken the next step into primping and hair color... still maintaining a heterosexual orientation.

I still don't get this fashion thing where "being yourself" really means just buying your outfits out of a specific catalog. Hope it does not get as bad as the costumes worn by the folks who decided to become themselves at the "rocky horror picture show" movie.

Emo philips is very very funny indeed.
however,i feel I must clear something up...the current trend in what is being called 'emo' is misleading.
some of my favourite bands are bands who featured in the first wave of 'emocore',bands such as embrace, rites of spring, saetia, lifetime, quicksand, and various others.these bands had integrity, and certainly couldn't be categorized into one style or sound and compiled in an encyclopaedia.
unfortunately, over time, the term 'emo' has become a misnomer,an all round descriptive term for these little boys in tight pants.its a shame that these impressionable people are acting like such victims of a horrible fashion, but that's for them to cry over.
I myself just hope that the word stops getting bandied around so much as an insult,by people who don't understand how it should be used..peter parker is 'an emo'? so,by definition, wayne, of waynes world must be 'a metal'.or a fan of led zeppelin could be called 'a classic rock'?
doesn't make much sense to me.thats all that annoys me about it.use the word correctly,it isn't hard.
rant over.

Disappointing. I thought the movie was more of a love story than anything else - bittersweet. Not very much Amazing Spiderman stuff.

The company I was adjoined with in the movie was absolutely the best part of watching it. I would not pay to go see it at the theatre again!!
