Most of you are thinking either the snake was defanged, or the snake wasn't real... This is not how that was done at all. Thank snake may have been milked of his venom, but his movements show him to be quite real. What was fake was the baby. Look at how jerkey the motion was. That was a robot baby. LOL

I am not sure how many of you have ever been bitten by a snake. Even the impact of the bite (the body movement) is pretty hard. It is like a 8 or 9 year old kid punching you pretty hard. My point is that regardless of whether the snake was defanged that still hurt. Stupid. WHERE IS THE LICENCE???

I don't care if the snake is defanged, milked or what not...I would like to beat the crap out of the kids parents now.

Oh please, I thought the PC rules were we are to accept other cultures as superior to ours and thus a baby playing with a snake that has its mouth sealed is perfectly fine. Saying that baby cannot play with said snake is racist and that is all there is too it.

1st off...You can't defang a poisonous snake without killing it, any more than you can defang a tarantula. It just doesn't work. Milking it of it's venom would not be effective- The child would have been bleeding from various deep headwounds.
The snake was striking with a closed mouth, so the most likely thing was that the mouth was tied or glued shut. Being struck by a large snake with it's mouth closed is not what I would call painful. Startling perhaps, but not painful. A snake striking with it's mouth closed never strikes at full strength to avoid damage to the heat sensing pits or it's nose.
That said...
It was still disgusting. I wouldn't let an infant play with a garter snake, let alone a cobra. If it's mouth was tied, it could get loose and kill the baby. If it's mouth was glued, it is just cruel to the animal.
Either way, the parents or guardians or whatever was in charge of the baby should be thrown in a tank with a full grown green anaconda. Not poisonous at all! They should be perfectly safe for a full grown adult to play with.

I've been to that part o' the world and they do seal the mouth and the idea is to make money off tourist. They couldn't care less about the snakes life and if it was a girl baby it is less important than a boy baby. Gnash your teeth all you wish, they don't care what you think either. Note I'm against what they are doing on every level. When I was Africa it was an every day occurance that someone wanted to sell a live baby chimp or antalope to us.

The mouth does not open when the snake strikes but if you watch closely, it slithers its tounge at the end of the video. How do they do that?

The baby does look like it could be a girl by the way it is dressed.

It could also be that the parents are part of a religious group that believes in snake handling and starting the children off early in this practice. I don't remember the name of the group, but it does exist.
