I presume some of you have heard this but I haven't seen it posted:

http://itricks.com/news/?p=1208

I've been waiting for this because Ferguson's trashing of magic has been a little too much for him not to cannily reverse it at some point. Apparently, after taking his kid to the Magic Castle he has decided to program a week of magician guests this coming week. Friday's guest, which is TBA on the iTricks link, is Jade.

Just watched Lance saw a woman in half, and a card trick for Craig. I liked it.
-A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.
-It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them.
-The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Yeah, it was okay. I guess it kind of made sense to have the first trick on the week being sawing a lady in half. I liked his presentation of "Brainwave."

D*mn it, it missed that... He was one of the only good acts on that night at the magic castle show a while back.

Nathan was good -- he started with a series of cuts leading to his fancy one-handed three-way cut. Then did a trick from his DVD where one of four queens changes to a selected card and then the other queens change to its mates. Then, from the Magic Castle show, his barehanded matrix and "Explosion." He had a nice relaxed style and the informality of the setting suited him.

Ok everyone, please be kind.......I am going to show a bit of ignorance here.

What version of brainwave was this the Lance Burton did. I have the full deck version but have never seen a four cards only version. I assume it was psycological in nature and have been trying to figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this would be great for restuarant work.

Thanks,
Dorian

Ok..i think I found the effect. It is called "Choose Your Queen", So far the only place I have been able to find it is at http://www.magictricks.com/cards/choosequeen.htm.

Take care,

I think he did B'wave and it seemed pretty much like the standard patter. I did like the presentation of the packet in the rubberbands though.

Yes, it was B'Wave, it's a great trick, I do it quite often.

The sawing Lance did was neat, but man, that base was huge! Granted, it would look better with proper lighting... but was anyone waiting for the second girl to appear? LOL!

The presentation that Lance used, I believe belongs to Eugene Burger.

The Brainwave was not the Brainwave deck but rather B'wave, by Eugene Berger.

Rick Thomas was pretty good. Although I would have rather seen Lance do his Dove act.
