Hi all
I was surfin the web, and low and behold, I found this place! Super cool, so I thought I would throw my top hat into the ring. I am 38 (birthday was May 18th), married for 11 years to a wonderful woman named Rhonda. No kids of my own (sorta...but that is another story, for another time) I am raising a nephew that is 11 years old, named Andy. I have 2 cats (Socks-female It, and Smokey-Male It- grey tabies, fixed<hence the 'It' aspect>, I have a indoor dog (sorta- she is a Welsh Corgi Xbreed named Misty-11yrs old, she firmly believes she is not a dog, but a little person with 4 feet and a fur coat), and 2 outside dogs (German shep/Austrailan shep, named Jima and Nawa <both female>, named after Iwo Jima and Okinawa). I work at a Boys and Girls Club as the Program Coordinator, for past 3 years, youth worker with 15 years experience. opps...I am rambling, sorry, verbal diarrhea... I have been preforming/practicing/collecting magic for the better part of 16 years. I got hooked in Vegas, a little shop, the clerk was preforming the dissappearing hankie in empty hands routine, I was amazed, bought the effect, practiced for 10 minutes, went to a wedding reception, and amazed my friends and family there, and was caught in the evil spell of magic! <side note- I really like the movie 'Night at the Museum, except for the scene with the 'getting busted doing the dissapearing hankie with a Tip'. I can't preform that effect anymore, since that show My preference around magic is parlor, and close up, with some card, coins and other props. My fav card trick is 3 card monte <my version with a couple of twists>. gezz, I am writing my whole life story...I should be a writer instead of a youth worker....... Anyways, that is who I am, and what I am. I would like chatting, and possibly trading props with other like minded people. Thanks for listening/reading Yours in Magic Stacey Dean Robert Harrison AKA The great StaceyDeani

Welcome Stacey:
Don't throw in the towel, or rather "silk". Learn a different method of vanishing a silk, and when they think they've got you, "bam" let them examine your hands! Jim |

Nice post, for the night in the museum thing what I do when someone tells me about that scene is just say "a false thumb tip? do you actually think now at this days somebody uses that? no way! now there are other methods" LOL, yeah, a little lie, but we magicians lie all the time don´t we? so they try to find the trick somebody else, just don´t get busted for real LOL, well, for now WELCOME TO THE Café!
