Triune by Justin Miller http://www.closeupjm.com
First lets say that this for me pre-audience tested review. I am only in the very beginning at working with this and time will needed to be spent in practice before I can perform it. First thing lets talk about the idea of triune. Basically its invisible palm aces with coins. You have three coins make one invisible hand is show totally empty then you lay the coin down and it becomes visible. Know I don’t know about you but I think that’s pretty cool. I am already getting ideas of doing a basic coins across, then some talk about "OK coins don' really travel, that’s impossible, what I am really doing is making them invisible and just handing them off". Or something like that. Ok onward. The gaffs included are hand made by Jamie Schoolcraft. That should be all you need to hear but ill say I have 3 shells and a copper silver by Jamie and they are flawless. these are no different the DVD if you have any of Justin’s other DVDs you might be well aware he makes them himself so its not Hollywood, although his domain looks lovely lol. Anyways you can clearly see everything needed its not the best that’s for sure but its just fine to learn the routine, and that's what matters. One thing I did find funny is Justin keeps saying, " now this is what it looks like from the back” but it never happens lol I guess he figured the back shots were not nessecry. the routine. its first of its kind. iv seen justin do it live and I really looks great. They examine the coins at the beginning and the end. it flows nice, and is very deceptive. I think it will be cool to see where others take this in the future, with variations and such but I think Justin’s got a solid routine that will make your spectors need a change of their depends( thanks Chris Kenner ) Anyway ill say highly recommend, I think any of you coins guys just want to jump on this, you won’t be sorry. The price tag is good if you consider the price of the gaffs included .if you have other questions of my opinion let me know if you want to see it for your self see. http://www.closeupjm.com also I rarly write reviews but being there are none here I wanted to post one so I apologies for my lack of reviewing skills |

Great review Josh.
I wanted to keep TRIUNE on a more personal level as far as DVD quality. It's just me at home talking with you and taking you through the routine. TRIUNE will always stay "home grown" Justin N. Miller |

Can this be done standing up, or do you need to be seated? I would perform this on the streets. I would be standing and could have people standing behind me. could it still be done? If this forum is not the place for these kinds of questions could someone in the know PM me?
The demo looked great! |

Hello magicsoup,
Yes it can be done standing up. There are two ways that are explained on the DVD.... As for people behind you it is not advised to have poople directly behind you, But the angles are good, and the way you handle the coins, most of it would not be seen from behind. Sebashtion H.

Being that my old post keeps getting bumped.... I have to say the price is pretty high for the new model considering the old version came with coins from jamie schoolcraft. I would think 100 would be more reasonable unless these Chinese coins are jamie good.
also I feel that I should follow up and say that I do not perform the routine any more. There is a curtain amount of misdirection lacking in the old routine at least that maked for easy reconstruction on the layman's part. |

The chinese coins are comparable to Jamie, The precision milling on these coins are as good as Jamie. with this said there are things about these coins that you cannot do with Jamies coins. you get more coins that you did originaly, the DVD is also filled with more information than the the original. so with that said the price is set under what it could be.
what do you mean your post gets bumped???? Sebashtion H

Also I have yet to have a layman reconstrust this (that I know Of)
but what do you expect in this day and age..... everyone wants to blurt out the effect and or way the trick is done. we don't just sit there and be entertained any more....... so what we are sopose to do stop preforming because someone caught us, or we don't have the misdirection down to make it look good. I am not bashing anyone or anything here but I myself fight with that one Jac#$ss that wants to sceam out this is how it is done..... yup I would love to slap him, but that willl not solve anything..... he or she is just screaming look at me!!!!!! Seb, I posted because this post is getting bump that is a review for triune.... but iv never seen or used what your selling... so before my post prompts someone to buy somthing that is not the same as somthing I "endorsed" I felt a personal disclamer was warrented. thank you can understand as its my reputation that goes on the line.
as for the reconstruction, several spectators mentioned " has to be some hollow coin" that's to close for comfort and I'm experienced enough in coin magic to know that a gaff should never be that obvious is reconstruction of the routine is needed to solve that problem. this is most likly a case of a routine "made for marketing" as I know it was created not long before it was originally released |

I don't have Triune, so I'm just throwing this out, but Joshua's review of the original release says you have them examine the coins before and after. I'm not an "examine the props" type of guy, but some coin work ( Copper/Silver/Brass for example ) has moments that are so astonishing, that they have to know the coins are not "trick" coins. In C/S/B you let them examine before the routine begins.
Since you can do that before or after with Triune, then it won't matter what they think as the examine will cancel it out. The Chinese Coins on the Subdivided Studios version look beautiful on the trailer.

Hey guys I am so sorry it has taken so long to get back. I have been on the road for a littl eof 4 months now.
I am in oego new york shooting some new effects for release. Henry, I am getting things straightened out right now and will have those to you very soon. I just have to get back to my house... Also, thi sis the first time I have been able to access the Café. I cannot get the Café on my I mac for some reason of an upgrade in safari. They (apple) are working on why that is, so I can only check messages and post from other locations...this is my first time being able to get to a computer. Henry's order is the last of the big mess I had to clean up a while back..rest assured it WILL be taken care of. Justin N. Miller |

Justin, I know a delightful little pub near the River Walk we can meet at. I'm Irish, so I don't expect you to keep up beer for beer. But I do expect you to make a decent try. If I go on a rant about the English ( and I will ), just keep quiet until I'm done. It happens between beer #12 and #14.
