Glad to see I'm not the only one who saw the plot was too congested and at parts far too silly than usual.

Not sure whether to see this, barring LOTR, no ones been able to make a good cleansweep of the movies. First one was good, but by the second yo could tell they had been making the story up as it went along(bit like Lost0 and it was soon going to start falling short.

I enjoyed it. Its one of those "leave your brain at the door" kinda flicks. Dazzling effects, as one would expect from ILM. And I really love Davy Jones. Brilliant performance by Bill Nighy and brilliant animation. Just plain fun.
Still I gotta say this...when the first pirates film was announced (like Haunted Mansion) I was certain that Hollywood had finally drained all of its creativity...I mean come on, a film based on an amusement park ride? And watching the documentary of the 1st pirates was kinda weird...people were so happy they could incorporate a certain thing from the ride into the movie and so on. Usually they do rides based on movies... Now putting the "philosophy" behind the films aside, all 3 are geat fun and I like them a lot. But if I am ever gonna direct a film, its gonna be based on the rusty carousel of my childhood playground!

Saw it yesterday. Wore a bandanna on my head and my Higley Pirate Toes around my neck. Talked like a pirate the whole time while buying my ticket (did NOT have to say which movie I wanted a ticket for) and getting my popcorn. The theater workers, little kids, and moms & dads got into it and had a few laughs.
Relaxed and enjoyed it, just like the other two POTC films. Some films you have to watch like a KID, not an adult. What's wrong with you people? Yaaaarrrrrr! (This was for the first film. This time I had my long beard, so it was way cooler!)

I felt like the Krakken.
And my inner dialog was like Capt Jack's time in the locker. Is there a missing hour or something? Sea turtle soup anyone?

I intend to love it tomorrow night. I'll be in Wranglers and a Disney 'Mummy' T-shirt that is pure Art. (Art don't know it's missing.)

Speaking of missing shirts. I signed up for a Disney VISA card in the lobby and got a free POTC T-shirt. My wife, who'd gone a few days earlier, apparently missed the promotion. When I got home, I lost the shirt!
Oh well, I love her anyway!
