I currently have a Lefler table/case which I absolutely love but for shows out of state where I have to fly, I'm looking for a more compact table that is easier to travel with.
I guess the perfect table would have a storage compartment and maybe attach to a tripod base and be easy to carry. Anyone know of a good source for such a case/table? |

Eric,
You may want to check out this http://www.wearefun.com/catalog/product_......877275a5 Which is also made by Joe Lefler. Just add a Eureka table base and you're all set.

I can't help beyond the Lefler case for table/case, but if you're looking for a great cheap case, I'm joining Magic Shore's bandwagon and promoting the well-designed, wheeled nylon cases at http://www.casesandmore.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=TZ1075. I've now purchased three of these. For $55 they are a steal and they are large and can hold hefty props. I have no relation to anyone associated with these, but know a good deal when I see one. Several other Magic Café posters have also been thrilled with this find by Magic Shore.

I don't know whether this fits your needs...but this is a beautiful little table/case.I have used mine for years. It is nicely designed, and looks very classy.
I usually carry some larger props in a separate catalog case if I am doing stand-up. http://www.ronjo.com/page/R/PROD/tables/706296010 Rich |

Okay - just to clarify that the find was by my friend MagicShore, and as he corrected regarding my earlier post - the case is nylon-lined but made of metal (aluminum)?

I just got in the case recommended by Mumblemore, above. I am very impressed! It happens to suit my needs perfectly, opens like a doctor's bag giving you a front full length shelf and a wider rear shelf (or vice-versa if that's your needs) plus a BIG dump area/prop storage.
It is sturdy, looks to be very well built and still is pretty lightweight. A velcroed cloth wrap could dress the box to suit you if you were to use this in performing. For the home builder, there are perfect areas each side of the extendable handle to attach folding extension legs, (tube type or otherwise), so the whole thing can wheel in and then set up on legs. Perfect, and CHEAP!!!! I will rig this like my first Medicine Show Doctor's box: Instead of the big wide open prop storage area, I'll rig up a half-shelf designed to pivot, just like a Dove Tray. This way, I can stash props by dropping them in the 'hammock' and flipping the half-lid over it...presto, props out of sight of curious eyes...and still have access to the inside of the box. Thanks again for recommending this one. I need to order a back-up today, as the website seems to think this sale won't last long...probably till they sell out of this particular stock.
