I saw Mark Kalin and Ginger's show in Reno, so I was able to see this effect (actually both effects) live and in an inimate setting of their "Magic Underground". Christopher, you are not kidding about the onstage chemistry. It was absolutely wonderful. Great performers. And what a great setting for a magic show. If you ever get a chance to be in Reno, you can't miss the show. Call ahead and tell them you are magicians. They'll set you up. But there is not a bad seat in the house.

The Op Art illusion was facinating in a live performance. It's truly a deceptive piece of magic. It very much plays like a puzzle. And it looks the part (as you add and take away pieces. Just great.

I finally let the video run and waited
on my dial up connection. And I was quite
disappointed that the guy who uploaded
it didn't cut the film in two, at least
you wouldn't have to wait for part two
of the illusion.

Otherwise, it was interesting. Can't really
see it from that angle.

I think Bob Higa is also performing it. The Kalin show in Reno is fantastic.

I think I wrote about this illusion last November .. and it actually fooled me. I did see it from a distance and it went quick .. but, I still had to think about this effect and where the girl went. I sent Mr. Steinmeyer and Willy a note about this illusion and thanked them .. I haven't been fooled in quite a while, and it's a good feeling.

This is only available through Willy Kennedy and is being released to a limited number of professional performers. There are no plans available for this illusion.

Once again ... "Osbourne" is spelled "Osborne."

Jason's version of this illusion is by far the best I've seen. Take a look for yourself, the kicker will blow you away. The presentation is slick and the prop is almost as beautiful as Kim.

Nice work Jason .. and little Kim of course, what's up babe!

I caught Jason's video on YouTube yesterday. Great presentation, and Steinmeyer's design work is fantastic, as usual. There's so few "new" illusions out there that it's always nice to see one. (Hopefully the copycats won't run wild with this one...)

Before everyone rips-off Jason's bit .. I think you should know that they came up with the kicker ending. The vanish is not part of the routine of this illusion, thus making it very unique to Jason's act. In the original version the illusion ends with the girls head getting tucked into the box within the frame, then everything is reversed.

I checked with Jason .. and it's his bit. I'm sure he'll chime in ...

As much as OpArt costs, I don't imagine too many people will be able to! Smile

Interesting thing about this twist of Jason ...he made better like original.
I am curious what thinking Mr. Steinmeyer about this new twist at a very new illusion ....when invented how didn't thought at this kind of end?
It's like you invent origami and after patented come a magician and find a better solution and pick up the box on the table for ex....

What are your thinking about that?

All the best

I don't know why,....but I don't like at all that illusion. The word "Puzzle" shouts too loud for me.

Just my opinion....

Alekei, I'm not a big fan of Origami anymore either- simply because I see just about everyone doing it. j.i.s., hmm, picking the box up off the table would be something.

But how about if, after picking it up off the table, the lid flips open and the assistant waves... Smile
