I wanted a bunny for my act, and the bunny I had was bigger than most children. I didn't mean to buy a rabbit. I was looking for something else to make a trick, but I saw this tiny bunny and thought he was perfect. He was in a separate cage, so I asked if it was for sale. The lady told me it was, but it was an escape artist. It jumped out of the tub, and then they put a metal grid over the top and it did a little bunny pull up out of that. I laughed and told her that was perfect because I was a magician. I wanted to name it Houdini, but my father, who is also a magician, named his rabbit that when I was a kid. So, I thought of Houbunni. My wife and mother-in-law rolled their eyes. Just wanted to know what you guys thought of the name and how should I spell it. Houbunny, Houbuni, Houbunni? Thanks!

Houbuni is my choice. I just like the look of it.

You might introduce him in a small wooden cage that he can easily bust out of with his name engraved on a sign over the top or down the side. See if you can train him to do this whenever he spots a treat being placed in front of the cage.

A great trick might be to then put him in a wooden crate, wrap it up with chains, put it in a bag, and then challenge him to escape. After a few seconds, you become afraid something has happened to him, take it all apart and the rabbit has vanished. At that moment, he comes escaping out of his wooden cage again.

Good luck with the little feller.

I once had a rabbit I named Harry Houdini, Jr. ("I call him Harry...because he is," I'd tell the kids.) That name would actually work for your family lineage, but is your rabbit hairy? (Mine was a big New Zealand and, indeed, he was.)

How 'bout Haredini, Haredeen, or Hareich White?

My rabbits are "Hot Fudge" and "Butter Scotch",

Blame the wife, she names them, and she was hungry at the time.

My Dogs are “Shela” and “Presto” (her full name is “Presto the magic water maker” But that is another story).
