Hey guys. I looked around this forum and couldn't find anything on this, so I'd like to share.

This is how you make a simple and easy Curly Q balloon.

All you need is:
- (1) 260Q
- (1) 160Q
- (1) Pump

Step 1: Simply drop the 160 inside of the 260.
Step 2: Tie the tail end of both balloons together.
Step 3: Pull the nozzle end of the 160 out of the 260 a little bit.
Step 4: Put the pump on the 260 and inflate only the 260 while still holding the 160.

The 260 should now become a 'Curly Q' and the 160 is still uninflated.

Hope you guys like it. =]

Thanks for sharing.

A different method is to use a piece of PVC pipe, dowel etc about 1" in diameter. It is easier if one stretches the balloon by pre-inflating and then letting the air out. Hold the nipple end and wrap the balloon around the dowel and then inflate. I use a 260 wrapped around the end several times to hold the nipple end in place while I inflate the balloon with a pump.

I tried to give a little diagram to help. It may sound a little confusing. BalloonHq.com and MBD2.com can give better direction.

You can paint liquid latex on one side of the balloon and let it dry to achieve the same result. There used to be a product called twirlie balloons that did this. No longer available.

A power blower (is this a term?) does this blow balloon fully let air out wrap around index and middle finger and re-blows while holding it in place. Some guys do this without pre-blowing... insane!!!

I make a curly q balloon the same way Mark said...using the index and middle finger. I never realized this was hard to do. I saw someone do it once and thought it was cool. Been doing it ever since.

Curling a balloon isn't that big of a deal if you've been mouth inflating as long as I have. As Mark said, you just turn/twist it around 2 fingers (be VERY SURE the balloon is lying flat against the fingers with no twists) and inflate. By mouth...

I do the finger wrap and use a pump. I usually inflate it twice to get a good full twist.
I like Vinnies idea though. Sounds kinda cool.
