So.....
A complex title, a less than complex question. When you juggle and perform shows do you; 1. Do a Juggling Routine and then do the jokes 2. Do a Juggling Routine combining the jokes 3. A mixture of the above (eg: some jokes in some routines, but then some routines are just music and juggling or just juggling) 4. Or do you perform no comedy and just amazing routines. I personally use the method 3. I like to separate the juggling and the comedy. I will do a proper routine to music then stop and do a gag with volunteers, then another technical routine with another apparatus and so on. I find this the best way for me as a person, but I am sure everyone looks at it in different ways. There are some performers who may not have outstanding juggling skills but they can mix the comedy and juggling together to create an amazing show... Anyways, I thought this would be an interesting topic for the performing jugglers out there on Magic Café, James

My routines tell a funny story with the balls, and lots of funny body movement. I'm not the tecnition, or as young as you so I do a series of two balls, and a top hat moves. I also do a rubber bowling ball routine, but I started as a comedian and that is where my streingth is.

I like this topic.....I really like it......I really appreciate funny jugglers... I don t give a **** about their skill... I really don't like acts from juglers with no break- I saw a couple of acts on juggling conventions they make me want to yell. where the F. can I applaude here or do I have to sit through this highly technical act until they are done? I many acts I would like a pose or some physical comedy as a break at least...that is why I do like to see good stand up comedy jugglers so much...i got some material that's funny and it was tough... cause I started as a technical juggler, but really think that stand up is a lot easier on you and your audience So my show is a mixture of some jokes in some routines and standup comedy and in other s like my diabolo, club, and hulahoop routine I have just music and juggling or use music blacklight and juggling with devilstick |

50 minutes of non-stop technical juggling would make almost anyone want to slit their wrists with a Dube machete.

Hey Al fettucini (Steve)
I went to a jugglers workshop last Friday night and spoke to Jonnathan Fettucini about you, and Mike Fettucini. Did you know his wife has another little Fettucini in the oven? Alfonso
