After reading this article I basically have two questions;

1. How come it took the FBI five years to bring charges against these dealer's? That seems like a lot of taxpayer $$$ being ****ed away.

2. How could a dealer use a cell-phone at the table? Or, how a player could be allowed to use a cell-phone at the tables? Isn't that against most casino procedures?

They have to make sure they have them. Would be a shame to bring charges only to have them dropped from lack of evidence. When your bringing something big down on someone you need overwhelming evidence so there is no wiggle room.

I believe the phones were only used to transmit basic information and not for conversation. They would have remained in the team's pockets for most of the game.

This goes back to what I was saying when everyone thought they knew it all about cameras and surveillance, on the camera thread. I told up front that I had just worked on a system that exported video to an outside secondary, service....that watches the employees, pit crew, and the camera room. What they didn't tell was that it couldn't have lasted for months without insiders in the camera rooms.
