I'm looking into doves and all. The only problem is where to locate a breeder 'cause I live in Florida and most pet stores don't even have birds.

Well, first of all, I'm a little concerned. In your first post here on the Café, you said you don't particularly like birds. Now, you want to get into dove magic. You can't have it both ways, and if you really don't have a love of birds, don't use doves.
Now, if you really do have the desire to get into dove magic, you have to consider a few things before getting them. You said you were in high school. First question is, do you have the time to take care of doves? They require daily handling, six or more weeks of constant training, clean cages, and lots of care. Before you even think about getting doves you need to get some reference materials, like Tony Clark's Unmasked and Andy Amyx's Doves 101 videos and possibly the Encyclopedia of Dove Magic. These will give you plenty of insight into whether or not dove magic is really what you want to do. After all the proper research, including looking through the many topics in this forum concerning the same question, only then should you be trying to locate a source of doves. When the time comes, don't even think about getting a dove from a pet shop.

In correction, I used to own doves from a pet store. I loved 'em, but I was about five. My distaste is centered to parrots. One has attacked me, and many have literally aimed and flung bodily things at me. I have owned doves and smaller birds, but I won't even be in the same room as parrots. I don't wish harm upon them, but I won't touch 'em. Sorry if I sounded like I wanted to hurt a bird. I'm not going to get one anyways because, after some research, I can't afford a good home for one, and that would be unfair to the bird. But thanks for your concern.
